Probably nothing new here, but will validate other’s observations and may serve to prepare those who will soon get their Bronco. FYI-2 door WT.

THE GOOD
-Love my Bronco, warts and all!
-21 MPG HIGHWAY, consistently.
-LUX package worth it (IMO)
-2.7 plenty powerful enough
-Very good layout of cockpit
-Hope you like attention
-CarPlay is awesome
-Weather/radar in Navigation
-Comfort/noise Levels
-Wifey approved
-Stance
-A/C and heated seats
-Off road confidence
-360 camera
-Head room
-Sport mode (What a difference!)

THE BAD
-Price of gas
-Seat egress tough on seat
-2 beeps with FOB in pocket
-Pinch weld
-Rock magnet
-Auto engine start/stop
-Aversion at high speed scary
-Placement of ingress grab handle
-Leaving parked in public places
-Sport mode (Goodbye MPG)
-ECO mode vs Normal makes no difference

THE UGLY
-Door windows wobble when opened
-Slow window drop when opening door
-Rock impact is magnified
-Going to be a 3.0 MIC top (still glad to have my Bronco evenso).

Again, these negative points are minor. I have been able to “fix” or overcome many of these issues. Some will be addressed in the future. Even if I had to live with all the negatives permanently, I would go through it all again without hesitation. When it’s all said and done, the Bronco is a home run.

21 mpg highway is pretty impressive for a Sasquatch bronco! Would you say your highway travels are mostly flat, rolling hills, or mountainous? In WV I find it hard to reach highway numbers in my Subaru due to the terrain.

Velocity blue looking fantastic as always.

Mostly flat with rolling hills. On a purely flat, 60 mile trip, I was able to average 25 mpg. I did have cruise on 55 and no stoplights. The 21 mpg is usually 58-60 mph. If I up my speed to 65 it drops to 19.8-20.3 mpg. I average 21 mpg because of terrain considerations and mph. Combined, I am getting 18-19, which I happy to get.

What do you mean by "aversion at high speed scary"?
If you are at Interstate speeds and have to suddenly dodge or brake/steer, there is significant body roll and such because of big tires and is magnified with the 2 door wheelbase. All Bronco owners will find out at some point. It’s just the nature of an off road vehicle with big tires and off road suspension. Just requires being alert, driving safely as possible and getting used to staying back with enough reaction/ response time built in.

Gotcha. Yeah I've got 34s on my truck and it isn't the most nimble on the highway.

I just took a round trip from LA to San Diego. The good? I got 22.7 mpg in a four door BL Sasq including various steel accessories. The not so good? Strict 65 mph (don't worry I was in the slow lane, did not hold anyone up), maxed cruise control (huge advantage), eco mode and kept auto start/stop engaged.

I believe he is talking about the fact that if you have to swerve on the freeway, prepare for a butt puckering event. The vehicle dives like mad when evasive steering at speed and you really need to keep your wits about you in order to avoid overcorrection. Its a split second moment where soul searching happens and you instantly wonder if you're ok with God, because you may be seeing him shortly.

Yep, those slow highway speeds explains the good mpg's. Aerodynamic drag is everything with this vehicle or a wrangler. Around here, interstate and regular highway speed limits are 70-75 mph (or 85 mph on SH130 toll road).

I’m dubious of these reports of 20+ mpg because I’ve got 7,500 miles under my belt so I know exactly how they’re achieving it and it definitely ain’t for me or 99.9% of other drivers.

Agree with most everything. 4 weeks tomorrow, 950 miles. I don't see the pinch weld on the FE because the rock sliders cover it. Not getting that kind of mileage, but I drive faster, so there's that. No sport mode on FE, but I have simulated it with Baja then shift to 2H 😁, very impressive.

Ford knocked it out of the park with the overall. Some minor things need fixed. Worth the wait.
