I haven't installed mine yet but I'm wondering, why do you have to rotate the strut/shock 180 degrees? is it because of how the spacer sits on top and then doesn't line up to remount? I'm very visual so I'm trying to imagine this as i sit at my desk pretending to work.

**edit - I just watched a video, is it because the spacer is tapered?**

$40 at any parts store for a spring compressor. I marked everything before I took everything apart as I upgraded Bilstein 5100s. Not many people attempt what your doing and it takes a few tricks. Don't crank to far down on the spring compressor till you break the top hat nut free.
I found that a pass through socket set was the god send for doing the top strut but properly- they do make shock/strut tools specifically for this, but the socket set is much more useful for other things https://www.homedepot.com/p/GEARWRE...ic-Mechanics-Tool-Set-46-Piece-8946/313807640
