YES!
I have an inside connection.

Put your cash deposit in a brown paper envelope and send it to:
THAT downtown back ally, 2nd dumpster along, behind the abandoned tire.

Thank you.

New to this and lost...a few questions...do you have to finance with Granger ? Are there dealer, handling fees on top of Invoice ?
You do not have to finance with Granger. I am writing a check for mine in full. Still get the deal.

There's always one.

You've got a great deal with Granger, but you choose to be jealous. Are you willing to wait until 2022? Did you even bother to read the reasoning? You can cancel your current reservation, and get the same deal you are so jealous about; but you won't, because you want the lower price AND earlier delivery. You, sir, are greedy. You moving your reservation won't even be noticed, by Granger; but you just have to make your threats. How about you thank Granger for standing out from the school of sharks, choosing to help the customer, instead of soaking them? No. Greed and Jealousy are your watch words.
Your reply was much more diplomatic that mine would have been. I had it typed out and thought better of it because I didn't feel like getting banned.

And here I was feeling rather salty and undiplomatic.

I tire of the jealously... especially, when the deal can be had by following the stated rules.

Nah, your reply was very sanitized compared to what I had prepared.

Hi everyone, my name is Zach and I am the dealership owner at Granger Motors. I want to thank you for being so welcoming and accommodating to our employee Albert @Granger Ford , the reception he has received has been humbling. He has done a great job as an ambassador for our company and will continue to be a resource to you moving forward.

I’m here today to announce a couple of changes that we are going to make moving forward. Due to some new information we received on Friday (9/25). We’ve had to make some adjustments to our business plan with Bronco. This will necessitate some changes moving forward. These changes should allow us to do a better job fulfilling the expectations that our current reservation holders have, allow us to accommodate reservation holders that are considering switching to us, and be able to continue to grow the Bronco reservation count overall.

1 – Albert is going to be moved into our “Bronco Expert” role. Not that he hasn’t been doing this full-time already, but we are going to take some of his other responsibilities off his plate. This should allow him to be a great resource to the Bronco6G community for the rest of this year and into 2022 once all of the reservations have been fulfilled. He has been an employee at Granger Motors since 1996, so he’s not going anywhere soon, unless he decides to retire.

2 – October Bronco Reservations at Granger Ford will receive pricing at $2000 under invoice. If you have make a Bronco Reservation that is timestamped in October we will honor this pricing. This will not apply to you if you transfer your reservation you previously placed with another dealer. To be clear this reservation is not for the early adopter that made your reservation on the initial reveal night or previous to October 1st. This is for the customer who is on the fence about signing up for a Bronco, a customer who is price sensitive and considering a Jeep Wrangler, or a customer who is willing to wait out the initial first rush of customers. We are looking to grow the overall reservation count of the Bronco SUV. You will not be the first person in your town to receive your Bronco in all likelihood. Delivery may not be until the 2022 model year. Ford has stated they will fill reservations before stock orders. But you will be at the end of the line of 165,000 and counting reservations.

• Does this help or hurt existing Bronco Reservation holders at Granger? – We are doing this to help our existing Bronco reservation holders get their Bronco quicker. The 3 factors in the allocation process are the number of reservations of a store, market size and Ford sales of that dealership. We can control 2 out of those 3. We are doing our best to sell as many Ford vehicles possible, even purchasing inventory from other Ford dealerships local to us to sell in an effort to increase our sales numbers. The biggest piece of the puzzle comes with adding more reservations that convert to orders.

• How does this make sense for the dealership? – We are selling these new Broncos like we sell all our new cars. We sell our new vehicles at or near our cost. We get paid a commission if we arrange finance for a customer, sell accessories, sell service contracts, sell the traded-in vehicle, and on work performed in our service department. Our dealership is in rural Iowa with low real estate cost, our land and building are paid for, and we do not have a huge fixed expense budget to cover. This allows us to sell things this way and maintain profitability at the store.

• When can I expect my October Reservation? Ford has announced that the Bronco has 165,000 reservations and counting and they anticipate 75% of those reservations to convert to orders. They have also stated that some of these orders may be filled as a 2022 model year vehicle. So based on that math, they are predicting a little over 130,000 Bronco’s to be sold already carrying into the 2022 model year and you should anticipate your order to be filled then.

• Why am I optimistic about a quicker reservation fulfillment? A Tesla Model 3 and a Ford Bronco are just about polar opposites. But that is the only reservation example we can pull from with comparable numbers. So let’s take a look at history with Tesla’s Model 3.
o Tesla required a $1000 Deposit and had a longer wait time initially for the Model 3. They announced a total reservation count of 450,000. Estimates on the reservation to order conversion ratio was around 30-35% for Tesla.
o Ford requires a $100 Deposit and a shorter wait time for the Bronco. A reservation count of 165,000 and is estimating a 75% fulfillment. If Ford were to fill at a rate similar to Tesla’s on the model 3 that is approximately 50,000-55,000 orders that will come from the 165,000 reservations.
o Obviously this is pure speculation by anyone at this point at what percentage of reservations convert to orders. But I am optimistic that our reservation count will turn convert into orders at a higher rate than the national average because of you the enthusiast at Bronco6G.

• Can I transfer my existing order in and receive $2000 under invoice? No, it is not our intent to steal other dealerships existing reservations with this offer. Our intent is to grow the Ford Bronco brand by aggressively offering the best deal on this new SUV.

• I already have a reservation with Granger, Can I receive $2000 off invoice? You will need to cancel your existing reservation and make a new one with an October timestamp to receive this discount.

• Is plan pricing in addition to this discount available? No, we will honor our previous plan pricing offer. But any plan pricing is completely independent of this offer from Ford. There is no requirement to qualify for plan pricing in order to get this offer as well.

I want to thank Ford for the great opportunity to be a dealer representing their brand. The Bronco is a fantastic SUV and we would not have this opportunity if it wasn’t for all the hard work of men and women at Ford who spent countless hours on this project. We are going to do our best as a dealership to fulfill the expectations of our customers and we feel like this is the best way to do so knowing the information that we now know.

You can certainly help us as a dealership by sharing this offer and information with whoever you know that may be on the fence about a potential Bronco purchase or that are scared at the potential sticker shock that Build and Price may offer. I have attached pricing information below showing the minimum savings this offer will give based upon trim levels for a 4 Door Bronco.

I dont have a reservation yet and the $2000 off is very tempting.. Can people from other states make reservations with your dealer and how would it work for delivery?

My original post was going to be questions about out of state taxes/trade, and if there was any additional info on potential color options extending to Base, as that with an auto was ideally in my budget. But with this discount they’re offering Big Bend trim might be doable as well.
I actually just got off the phone with Albert, and he couldn’t have more of a pleasure to speak with. As a few other have stated, taxes are looked up and could be rolled into the finance offer with the potential trade, and a check would be written to pay the difference in said taxes with whatever financing is secured. Then you go to pick it up. I’d be coming from Austin, Tx. I believe that was what I got from the conversation we had.

Quick suggestion to Granger Ford:

Put up a big wall size Map of the US and have all your customers put a sticker on where they came from to buy at Granger. Like those tourist places and burger joints we've all seen..

You could label it "Granger Ford.. center of Bronco country" or something much more witty ..

Yea....its a bad example and probably the worst way for someone to finance a new car, but sure i guess its not completely useless.

Anyway, that screenshot is not accurate. Prime rates right now are around 2.5%
That being said everyone should shop around for the best rates they can find, look into your local credit unions as well.

I think this deal has pushed me over the edge. I watched the pre-release stuff, and even posted on twitter to Mike about wanting the 6 speed Sasquatch.. That is happening, even though not in a v6, so I am kind of obligated to reserve. 2 years out is ok with me, will have sent 2 cars off to colleges with kids by that time, and will probably have lost my Rubicon to one of them.

Plus, will be interesting to see what sort of fun things they add on in that time.

October of 2020 reservation for a spring 2022 delivery is like a year and a half but I have to wait for the Mansquatch anyway so it probably won’t be much difference but a lot can happen in the meantime.

agreed, we are all just guessing at this point....

My reservation is from 9/16, so I don't expect to receive my bronco until late fall 2021 at the earliest, most likely will be spring/summer of 2022. But I'm fine with that. Most importantly I'm at ease knowing that @Granger Ford gave me the best deal available. They earned my business and I look forward to meeting Albert and others whatever month/year I travel to pick it up. Depending on the season, I might even bring them some crawfish! ??

I could read into this post negatively for those of us with earlier reservation time stamps wanting to get a timely Bronco at Granger. The pessimistic conspiracy theory view would be this:

-> Ford will send out shipments to all dealers by taking the total amount of broncos available 'this week' and distributing them out to all dealerships based on the 3 factors commented in this thread.
-> Its a percentage game. Each dealer is getting shipments based on the above pool allotment of the available Broncos to fulfill their orders/conversions.
-> Ford will keep at it week after week after week in the above manner until all conversions are handled and dealer lots are starting to get full.

This all will generally work in the probabilities game in that all customers and dealers will get the broncos 'in roughly' that the order reservations are placed in each 'region'. Roughly being defined as +/- 1 or 2 months deviation for each region. (Broncos for sure not getting filled per reservation number, we knew that already)

Now..... we have a problem. One dealership has been an absolute BEAST and a stand-up guy in terms of advocating for the enthusiast. Its been amazing to see what Granger/Albert have achieved and this is exactly how it should be and is a blast of fresh air. However, this wrecks the nicely-established ford model for distribution at the corporate level, since now its too heavily weighted towards a single dealer and not randomly distributed/weighted by region as it should be. Hence delivery of conversions at this single dealership will start to fall behind others since Ford wants their broncos all over the nation (not just in a single region).

So one could read into the fact that Granger won't be getting the allocations needed week after week and that now people with reservations at granger will start to see they have to wait longer for their bronco then billy bob down the street which paid X-Plan or MSRP (or worse MSRP + ADM) locally.

What are the options to fix this? Get people to cancel there an advanced reservation for more money off later. (I wouldn't be surprised if ford and granger didn't work together for such a deal, since why would Granger even do this if there wasn't a concern about filling orders?) AND get more reservations at Granger with an expected LATER delivery date to get the ford distribution model to lean more towards Grangers favor in general and get more delivery for those that are time-sensitive.

Alright boys, I'll take my tin foil hat off. :) Good luck everyone, hope I'm wrong but I got a feeling I'm not wrong.

I think this isn't far off base and a pretty good solution offered by Granger. I would like to think that Ford could look at Granger's reservation demographics and realize, that Granger IS selling to people all over the Country.

The Bronco's will not just be in "Bronco County" ( Granger's hometown) , but will be shipped and driven throughout the US. Those road trips give a lot of exposure. (y)

edit to add:

Sorry Jon, didn't know you had already stated this......bears repeating though.

Ford, are ya' listening?
