Hey folks! Although I finally got my Badlands to the point I wanted I am going to go with something older that I will actually be willing to push hard off-road. The Badlands is absolutely capable, but I take care not to put it in harm's way. That said, here is what it is:

2021 Badlands Carbon Gray Lux SAS (64k to build one with same options today) with 6,900 miles

Fast Intentions rear muffler (and I kept the stock one)

Method 705s (all five) and custom hub spacers (even though they are lug centric...I am OCD like that)

Goose Gear rear seat delete (I have the rear seats)

Archetype Badlands emblems

Road Armor rear bumper with swing out (articulates with the tailgate) and 4 gallon Rotopax mount and 1.5 gallon Rollpax mount

Diode Dynamics rear bumper lights

Tow hitch (NOT wired...aftermarket for bike rack)

Oracle flush taillights

Havoc front bumper with winch plate and mountains2metal camera relocate and stonsho removable license plate bracket mount

13k winch with two wireless remotes (relocated solenoid) with synthetic line

Diode Dynamics SS2 (X2) and SS3 lights in/on bumper

Diode Dynamics ditch lights with HB brackets

aFE airbox (and I kept stick one) with 2 dry filters (I don't like oiled filters)

Mishimoto intercooler

Mishimoto dual catch cans

Tuffy locking console

Ford premium floor mats

Jtops mesh 90% charcoal gray mesh top

Full set of Raingler nets (perfect for keeping dogs or kids from flying out)

Ford Performance Tune

7 year warranty including lights

Door pockets

Molle panel for tailgate with storage pouches

Ford divider behind front seats

Foutz rear diff slider

ASFIR tranny skid

ASFIR cross member skids

JCR lower arm skids

JCR rear shock skids

Reversible Forscan mods include Sport Mode and necessary settings to run Oracle lights

Zero issues with software updates or recalls. I am a mechanic and I dumped the engine, t-case, and diff fluids at 400 miles and added Amsoil. I also changed the engine oil after that at 4000 miles and once again because I hit the year mark. With all the upgrades above, and some I am sure I forgot about, I have at least 80k invested. I would sell for 60. If you buy a brand new Badlands, it will cost you 64 (built with options I have), and another 20k (and possibly labor...I am a mechanic and installed all my parts except for the Performance Tune because I wanted do maintain warranty).

Well that's a bummer! I followed a lot of your various build posts...fair price for a well built rig. GLWS

I do love it...but I can't get the idea/appeal of a towable early rig to drag behind my Sprinter. I know I "could" tow the Bronco, but it is at the upper limit...I can get a early Bronco or FJ and be at under 4 thousand pounds fully dressed and have a t-case I can just throw in neutral (or even manually unlocked hubs). Too many moving parts to tow the Badlands and with the 5k curb weight (and 27 steps to flat tow) I'd sleep (and drive) better dragging something else behind me. There are a lot of LS equipped FJs out there and early Broncos with AODs that are not only towable but also very streetable.
