The most important thing I learned here is that it is trivial to flip the lower shock bolts. Why Ford didn't just do that to start baffles me.

Might rub the CV? 🤷🏽‍♂️ But seems like you still could.

It doesn’t look like it could rub anything. It would pretty much solve an obvious problem. I couldn’t figure out a downside.

Must just have been to make initial assembly easier maybe. I guess that’s why they’re pressed in studs too. The reversal on the new nuts and bolts makes a lot of sense for rock protection.

I could of put a full lift on a wrangler in the time it takes to put a level. 😉 wranglers still drive like shit though.

Interesting how it fits both non-Squatched AND Squatched. The 4WP kit is no yellow shocks🤔

Edit: Also noticed how easy it is just to remove the sway bar instead of messing with manual disco's I might just take the whole thing off when I hit the trails. ;)

Ok I see now! Thanks for pointing that out didn’t notice the first time.
They start off with studs and the kit replaced them with bolts.
It shows him still using the impact wrench to righted them from the bottom and before that a closed end wrench on the top.
In the factory using a stud means they don't need the wrench on the top so easy to assemble.
There may be some clearance problem with just trying to flip the studs maybe this is why they switched to bolts? They Did say the bottom spacer can only be a small size because it would interfere with the CV.
But this is good to see and not to hard if you have the right tools.
Now we need someone to make a video on just flipping the studs or replacing them with bolts with out the lift.
