Why is the muffler so damn massive? Its bigger than the transmission. There's room for a 30 gal gas tank instead of the miniscule 16.9 we ended up with. I'm hoping the aftermarket has a better solution than jerry cans.

I am pretty sure the gas tank has to sit in front of the diff. If it sat where the muffler is then it could explode in in a rear end collision.

BTW on a F150, the gas tank sits in front of the diff and between the frame rails to protect it from collisions on all sides.

That makes sense, but it would still be better protected than two 5 gal jerrycans hanging off the rear-end tho (way more convenient also).

So, with these nice detail shots can anyone, maybe LEGEND, tell definitively if the Bronco has IWE. Maybe on std transfer case and not advanced?
Will be interesting

F150 appears to have added some kind of electronic module, but vacuum lines still appear present. Would be nice if they just got rid of this but I am sure it adds .001 mpg...

This bronco will ride vastly superior to a jeep wrangler. Not as much front articulation but much better in all other areas.

Look at the axle selection chart in the order guide. It lists what units have Front Axle Disconnect and which don't. Generally those with regular 4x4 do and those with Adv 4x4 don't. Exception: vehicles with 4.27 locker show as not having FAD even with regular 4x4, might be a glitch.

I am six of one and half dozen of the other. Less wear and tear and maybe better mpg with, better reliability without. I've had a few Fords with IWE (not sure if Bronco's FAD is the same) and never had a problem, some people have.
