so I'm not the only one that's just as confused on Area 51?!?! When I first saw it, I was in. Then some other shots have come out and I'm like, looks very baby blue... but then I see other shots like these, and the other shots coming out of the event & the trim lineup the other day, and I'm like maybe I do like the Area 51... haha

Seeing this and the shots from the event, I feel I'm in on Area 51. Other decision is the Catus Grey.

(I guess that's why they called it Area 51... it's all over the place, and can't place a finger on what it really is!)
Oh dude, I've always loved Area 51! It has almost a darker greenish hue in the shade and then a light greenish blue (almost baby blue) in the sun. It's an absolutely amazing color. The color I've been on the fence about is Cactus Gray. Some pictures give it either a green or blue hue to it. Most of the recent pictures of Cactus Gray though show it to be your run-of-the-mill flat gray which is fine too. I just don't dig Cactus Gray as much as Area 51 now.

Is it possible to place the white color tank in between all the combination colors? This will good visual representation of - trunk colors and the white top. Assuming we have the option.

Two takeaways from seeing actual colors;
A51 fits right in with EB colors at the event.
Antimatter is black- using the Ford Rep’s example -in the morning light as they went to label the colors they first believed it was black.

I just can’t pair up LB with that navy pier interior. Makes my head ache. Probably will ditch the FE for AMB Badlands with the black/orange trimmed leather, especially after that Overlands look!

My very first car was a 64 Oldsmobile Cutlass; midnight blue with a white top. It was absolutely beautiful!

Crap I don’t know which looks better, carbonized or iconic. Carbonized isn’t as dark as I thought and I like it

Cyber Orange is out for me it is yellow. We are now doing Lightning Blur and Rapid Red. The Area 51 is really nice (blue) and personally Cactus reflects it’s environment (flat grey) aka light green or blue depending on what is around it.

some more pics...

Thank you for these pictures. I appreciate having different folks taking pics with their different cameras and settings.

I would like to point out that the pictures I quoted above appear, to my experience, to be very accurate representations of Race Red. Race Red is a very difficult to photograph as it easily trips camera phones sensors which try to correct it to more of an orange hue.

This also, by my estimation, gives the rest of the colors a higher degree of color accuracy than most pictures of these cans that we've seen. Personally this brings hope that Cactus Gray has the green hue seen here. HOWEVER, it must be noted that these cans were painted months ago, by hand. And there is the very high likelihood that the paints formulations have been altered slightly for production and when shot by robot.

An example of how Race Red can turn orange with strange lighting or letting a camera phone sensor make all the decisions is on the BOSS 302 that I detailed below. In person there was none of the "cherry orange" that you see in the pic below.

A better representation of what color it is in person.
