My dream was to buy a Bronco in mid 2022. It seem like by that point, it will still be a very hot "new" model, with high demand, keeping transaction prices high.

Hmm. By then, the Wrangler JL will be in the 5th year of its run, and might either see some small improvements, or downward pressure on pricing, due to Bronco hype.

Maybe my wife will be a Jeep girl, instead of a Bronco girl?

It's way too early to say. 2022 feels like it's a LONG way away.

Don't really care about the actual club or being affiliated with the club. I just want a decent price.
same here. i lucked out because i get the plan just because of who i work for. Im sure your 06 runner is in better shape than my 3rd gen. These salty Pennsylvania roads suck. Have you reached out to any dealers by Pitt to see if they accept x-plans? #1 Cochran might be a good bet, even though their Ford dealership is somewhat out of the way.

I also wonder how many of us reserved more than one. I know I did just for the simple fact I wasnt sure on prices. So figure come August we will all build and price what we know we want then cancel the other reservations. That’s was my plan. Now that we are lil farther out I def know I’ll be getting the badlands with no special stuff other than the cactus smasher and maybe the other option of rims with the ATs.

Before everyone starts looking at the competition due to longer and longer delivery times, why not go ahead and order a Bronco Sport now? Then you can trade it in on the 2/4 door when it arrives.

I'm curious if this means any reservations from this time forward will have that delivery date.

That big depreciation hit is totally worth it to have a Ford for a year...

Either you take brand loyalty way too far, or you work in sales.

I also wonder if the deliveries will be based off when we reserved, or when we actually submit our order. In other words, if we wait a week to order after the window opens, will that drop us down the list?

I am in sales but not cars, LOL. I realize you take a big hit in depreciation the first year but some keep talking about 2022 deliveries - the hit wouldn't be as bad. Bronco's should hold their value pretty well.

I am ok if delivering later. I will be trading in a 2020 Escape Titanium that I literally have had for two months! I saw demand was high so I placed my reservation for the Bronco. Gives me more time to figure out exactly what I want and how much I’m willing to spend. It’ll be nice to see them in person before getting it.

I guess they thought they’d sell more Bronco Sport. Not sure why higher demand for the 2 and 4 door would push back begin ship date by two months ?
I would guess its more than they can build.
You know they can only build so many a day.
We will see, if can wait that long.

If they are that long might as well wait for MY2 with any improvements.

I honestly don't know why they bothered with the Sport. To me that was a huge waste of time/resources.

With this much demand they should be setting up another factory, using some of the Sport build line for this or converting one over to meet it till it subsides.
I thought the Sport was being built in Mexico. The regular Bronco is up in MI. Maybe the MI plant doesn't have the capacity due to COVID-19?

That could possibly put me in a bad spot...I was planning on the Bronco replacing my Mazda when the lease ends in November of 2021
You could always extend your lease a few months if you want
