Hmm that tank size in the two door isn’t ideal. Going to be hard getting used to filling up more than once every two weeks like on my F-150 with the 36 gallon extended range tank.
Tank vs wrangler is only 0.6 smaller on the 2 door and 1.0 smaller on the 4 door.
I imagine the 2.3 will get better mpg than the wrangler so likely within 15mile range difference

I’m in the same boat.

hopefully the aftermarket comes up with an extended range heavy duty fuel tank pretty fast

20.8 gal? I'm happy to hear that. The Ranger only gets 18 gal, which is NOT OK.

Oh I know. I’m just comparing it to my F-150 and what I’m currently used to. Some sacrifices are worth making. ?

I like to use Fuelly to see real world MPG. Covfefe is wayyyy below what everyone else is averaging in their 2.3 EB Mustangs.

Below is what 2020 Explorers with the 2.3 are averaging.

Ford Bronco 2021 Bronco Gas Tank Size Is 16.9 and 20.8 Gallons 23eb

Those 36 gallon tanks are epic.

My V8 Sierra only has 26 gallons, but that is a big improvement over my old lifted I5 Canyon with a 21 gallon tank, and the same fuel economy as the stock Sierra. Towing with the Canyon, I had to carry an extra fuel can, as I would often travel at night, after fuel stations closed, and the range was poor.

16.9... well... it could be worse.

i hope that Ecoboost sure is eco lol
I have the 3.5 Ecoboost in my F-150. You can have eco or boost, just not at the same time.:p
I'm running a set of Raptor Gen 1 beadlocks with a set of 295/70-17's (33.19" tall) and if I take it easy I can still get 20 mpg with a 2015 4wd crew cab max tow pkg.

Hopefully aftermarket comes up with something better, I was hoping closer to 30 gallons.
Though I guess reason for small tank is that the payload capacity would be negatively impacted. Already worried about how I can keep that weight down.
