I think the First Edition and the Badlands will have the same floor systems. Rubber with drains can removable carpet. Maybe I am wrong.
My understanding is that the First Edition is a Badlands that has been loaded with all the additional options it can hold. That’s why the logos are very similar. This is based on a printed brochure that someone managed to get ahold of. It would make sense then that the rubber floors and drain plugs are under the carpet. Which means that carpet is coming right out and getting stored away.

FE pulls in the best of the Badlands, Outer Banks and Wildtrak into one.

As others have mentioned the Dual Zone Climate Control and Intelligent Access (2 things which are very important to me personally) should be an option for the Black Diamond. The only thing is they aren’t listed as options for it on the comparison and are for the Badlands. Has any explanation for this come yet? Would be a big disappointment if these aren’t available.

edit: can someone explain the difference between the high level gauge cluster and the 8” LCD? Haven’t heard that talked about.

Does anyone know if you can get the high clearance suspension option without the sasquatch package?
Per the spec sheet, no, it is there to clear the 35" tires apparently on the Sasquatch Package. Stay tuned for Dealer Installed Accessories and the Aftermarket for solutions.

I'm not sure why I am paying close to $5K more for a Big Bend than the base. All I see are fog lamps, slightly bigger rims and tires, leather wrapped wheel, privacy glass in the back, a minor entertainment center upgrade, and the potential to add more options. Oh, and some extra color choices. This seems like a lot of money for what I'd be getting. What am I missing?

What’s the difference between the “Non Configurable” Headlights that come on the Base - Badlands and the “Configurable” Headlights that come on the First Edition?

this post may answer it...

Ford has made some changes to the website this weekend.
1. Removed "Modular Hard Top Body Color-Painted" as Optional on all 2 Door Models
2. Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) (Non-Configurable) has been changed to (Configurable) on all Models

Just a friendly reminder when you’re deciding packages and trims that Forscan is a thing. Given some time for discovery and parts to show up, upgrading to a 12” screen, different headlights, aux panel, etc and having it completely integrated like OEM is very possible.

All that to say, if a Black Diamond checks all your boxes except the 12” screen, then get the Black Diamond and upgrade the screen later when you can do it for the cost of just the screen and dash.

If you are unfamiliar with Forscan or all the things it allows you to do for Fords check out this F-150 Forum post here.

I think the BB gives you entry into a rear locker with lower gearing for automatic transmission. The lower gearing would be more appropriate for 33” tires.
