Look at 1up. Best in the business and they have extensions.
Ford Bronco 2021 Bronco spotted with hitch bike rack (Yakima) 1612708964265

Ah, yes i have looked at them before, they seem modular and upgradable. You def get what you pay for. Will consider them. but its probably going to be about 300 dollars over the competition to configure it the way i would want.

Thank you

Yes, pricey but really well built. My son has one on his FJ. They are a Wisconsin company so maybe a bit of bias from me. Saris is here in Madison but not of the same quality as 1up IMO.

I know too many people that went on vacation and had bikes stolen from bike racks, we take the front wheels off and throw them inside of the FJ and have room for luggage/gear. Hoping to do the same on the Bronco.

Or open to suggestions!
I second the 1Up.

Otherwise I'd take a Kuat over a Yakima and, definitely, a tray over a frame hanging rack.

If you want the best of both worlds you can get a swing attachment for the Kuat so you can swing or tilt.

Hopefully you are getting a 4 door. We had this discussion yesterday.

Im getting the 2 door, considering back seat delete for bike storage as well!

We do the same with the Escape but that will not be an option for the 2 door. One bike kiddy corner maybe, but not two with luggage in a 2 door.

Edit: maybe with both wheels off or.... kiddy balance bikes!

You don't need a Kuat one. Though varying brands may have compatibility issues. I can speak to all combos.

The real issue is price. A swing attachment is usually like $300 or $400 for some crazy reason.

I'm planning to get a swing-away for my electric scooter carrier. I wonder what issues I'll have by blocking the rear sensors and camera?

It doesn't matter which bike rack you get, they will all block your rear camera. Unfortunately
Hopefully they make a camera relocation Kit. Than would be nice. Seen them on Jeeps.

This is a one-shot deal. You'll be set for a long time.

What is your end goal? I've posted a video on here of a guy with a 1Up, Jeep, and a 35" (I think) tire who can tilt the rack (without a swing) enough to get the rear door open about 45 degrees. Enough to get gear in and out.
