I cant beleive yall are already talking about selling your bronco and you havent even really seen it yet.
LOL, really, it's just a long term financial plan for regular cars. The Bronco will land more in the entertainment catagory for me than anything else, because anything I commute with will be destroyed in short order. Not saying I wouldn't, but you don't want to buy anything I've driven to work, it will end up rotting away before long.

In the end, it is just a car and not worth putting yourself in a precarious financial position over. A position that could take a LONG time to recover from.
It seems there are a lot of folks that need to hear that.....not that they'd listen.

Well then you will be very happy, my friend. The base Bronco obviously won't be as basic as your TJ, but rest assured that you will be able to option plenty of "off-road stuff without the fluff."
That is GOOD to hear !!!!! I like option boxes. :D:D??

Completely agree 90-95% of the time and I think 10yrs is the max for that percentage. The Mustang I have my 6yr old daughter wants and loves riding in it with me. I hope to pass it to her when she is 16...she even "helped" me change the header gaskets last year.

I think Mustangs and the like cycle to an extent with a following willing and desiring to fix them. I would put a Bronco in that bucket as well as a future classic. A fusion or most other cars are not in that bubble of timeless to an extent...some are always more desirable but I don't see anyone 20yrs from now willing to put in time and money to fix up any fusion.
I know one guy who loves his 1st gen fusion, but he's full of it, when it really breaks he will just pack in in his 1/8th acre backyard that already has a dozen junker projects like that.

Yeah Im definitely on the low end of the economic spectrum of this forum, but ive never bought a car thinking of resale value. Its either for passion or work, both mean i will have them till they are worthless. But for this bronco its passion all the way and for that I will literally empty my pockets, go on a diet save every penny i can to build up 10% of what will likely be near 40k pay the rest in as small of payments i can get, and be thrilled everytime i look the thing. If I did ever sell it it would be to family or freinds with a strict first dibs buyback contract.

BINGO GIVE THAT MAN A CIGAR !!!!!!!
Give all the after market companies a chance! If it ends up like a Jeep they will have more shit available for the Bronco than you can shake a stick at.

Best decision if you’re willing to wait. Is wait for a decent inventory at dealerships then negotiate. Otherwise yes if you pre-order and want a specific model the dealership is definitely going to take you for a ride.

The price you pay for wanting a brand new vehicle
HOW TRUE!!! Patience is a virtue! Plus how many "special models" will be coming that might make you want to kick yer butt and say....shit I should have waited!

You'd be suprised...I'm often shocked at random nice looking almost 40 year old 1980s cars I've seen over the past few years. I saw a bunch when gas prices went stupid back about 6-7 years ago. Things like Escorts or other cars that would be considered disposable even back then. Some guy where I work at is still driving a 1989 Thunderbird Turbo coupe and used car dealership has 3-4 early 2000's Thunderbirds on his lot for some reason LOL. They sell other exotics there also.

The average age of a car is about 12 years old. A new car is out of reach for decent amount of people, so they settle for something used, so older cars will be on the road longer.

Ford usually designs its cars to last at least 150K on average before a major issue happens to them...thats 15K over 10 years.

The thunderbird was always a special car and the turbo coupe even more so. Always wanted one.

Same. I drove a 4-banger Sonoma for 10 years. It had 140k on the odometer and was worth almost nothing when I traded it for my Tundra. I'd probably still have it, but I just didn't trust the longevity of that little 4 cylinder.

I've had the Tundra for 8.5 years now (its 9th birthday is December 29th). It's got over 135k on the clock, and while it hasn't been 100% problem free, I still trust that 4.6L V8 to continue chugging along. I have no plans to part with it.

It's going to be financially tough for me to afford a Bronco with no trade-in, but I've been saving my pennies, and I'm waiting for at least the second model year before I buy, so I have even more time to save.

This is all fine by me, but I'd need to know the difference between FX4 and Tremor (these would be the trims I actually care about), and the difference between Premium and non-Premium.

Without further data, I would assume that "Premium" is more form than function (plush leather seats, high end audio, more refined interior).

With FX4 vs. Tremor, though, both would be offroad upgrades, but to what effect?

Maybe FX4 gets the beefier IFS we've seen, Tremor gets SFA, and everybody gets chairs thrown at them when they argue over which package is better?

Or does FX4 just get lift and better tires, but the same chintzy IFS as the base model and Tremor gets the beefier IFS we've seen, nothing gets SFA (until maybe the Warthog/Rock King), and everybody still gets chairs thrown at them because they'll complain that there's no SFA option while others tell them that you don't need SFA to drive to the mall?

premium vs non is all “features” options
leather vs cloth, led vs non, 10” vs 8” screen etc

FX4 vs tremmor is big deference.
fx4 would be just slightly better tires and suspension vs normal package (like the ford ranger)
where the “tremmor” package is what leaked out a few weeks ago. Large tires and bypass shocks

once again just guesses and placeholders for names

After watching the F150 debut. I 100% stand by guess that the BASE price of the Bronco will be
2 Door $35,000
4 Door $38,000

By the time it's optioned the way I'd buy will likely end up at least $55k Even if they price below Wrangler which they probably won't will be that high for Comparable Sahara trim.
