The wife pointed out I quoted her incorrectly. What she actually said was “it looks more rugged” with the MIC top. She insists there is a difference between “more rugged” and “tougher”.The wife watched the auction with me and she really likes the MIC because “it looks tougher”. Go figure! Made my decision to take the MIC final.
You make some good points. But I hope we can agree to disagree. The two iconic Ford Vin 001 models being brought back from hiatus should have sold for more in my opinion. And they would have with Charities that are "nearer and dearer" to the bidders hearts. I'm happy for all the Charities that received the donations. Because the Charity is what matters most. All in all it was another great Barrett Jackson Auction! Thank you Barrett Jackson for everything you do for Charity Fund Raising!I disagree. The 001 Corvette convertible sold for $410K and the Ram TRX sold for $400K. Both were charity sales. The Ford Mach1 001, and Bronco 001 , charity vehicles as well, both out sold those two vehicles. The EV Hummer, benefitted greatly from having a charity that was nearer and dearer to red blooded Americans, and it is an electric platform. Even the Rousch Mustang owned by Phelps sold for $400K as a charity vehicle. I was surprised the Fords did so well.
True, but the bronco showed wearing a shabby gray top to a black tie event. Everything on the hummer at least matched!True. But this was supposed to be the Broncos big day. The Bronco went on the block right before Carroll Shelby's Cobra. The co-main event of the evening, so to speak. The Hummer EV went up way before the co-main event, and stole a lot of the Broncos thunder
