Right!

Last thing we needed to hear was "a new seam sealer was also developed in conjunction with this new steel, it sucks 1% less than before"....

There is a reason women prefer men who can weld.

And this lucky guy replaced his Harbor Freight welder with Big Blue!

Those Millers are nice.

Hopefully this level of high grade steel prevents Rust better. Nothing worse then spending $40k+ on a Rig only for it to Rust in 5 years or so. Its one of the biggest things I hate about Jeeps. Maybe its a Northeast thing but still. When you spend that kind of money on a vehicle you shouldn't have to worry about it rotting away. You would think in the year 2020 someone would have come out with a better stronger rust resistant material by now. Hopefully this High grade Steel makes a difference.

Pretty cool. I remember reading that when the Model T was on the design board, Henry ford needed a higher strength steel. Ford had some experience with Vanadium Steel, and started using it all over the vehicle for weight reduction/added strength. He was the first to use it in engine components and forged suspension pieces. The alloy is pretty commonplace in vehicles today.

May be made in USA but this is what I found:

ArcelorMittal S.A. is a Luxembourgish multinational steel manufacturing corporation headquartered in Luxembourg City. It was formed in 2006 from the takeover and merger of Arcelor by Indian-owned Mittal Steel. Wikipedia

It doesn't own any businesses in the united States anymore either.

This steel will be used more for skeleton locations as opposed to the frame itself (my guess). The steel needs to be coated to prevent galvanic corrosion with the Aluminum body panels.

I'm pretty sure the red skid plates are for "demonstration purposes only." I'm also pretty sure I'd click yes if that was an option on the order form.

Did they state the material was used in the frame? Sounds all super strong and high speed but without knowing where it is used it really doesn't mean anything.
