Thanks to our friends at f150gen14.com have leaked out the interior shots of the new 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat. I think it looks GREAT and I am hopping a lot of the design cues work their way over to the Bronco. At least on higher trims any way.

Here is the leaked interior of the Bronco. To me the fit and finish isn’t 100% prod on the bronco,

I really like that the screen is part of the dashboard and not sticking up, I really like that there are physical controls for climate and stereo.

I'm not 100% sold on the single flat panel for the gauge cluster. I'd personally like a separate speedo and tach with physical needles, and then a screen for everything else, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

The lariat F150 interior looks great, can't wait to the higher trims also. I am hoping that the Bronco screen has a larger option than the one leaked. I am not a fan of inset screens, it makes them smaller. The f150 looks perfect with it flush to the dash. I do however know that they are having to pull some tricks for weather resistance as @ChrispyKC has mentioned before.

@Jalisurr the benefits I see to having two digital screens (the infotainment screen and a fully digital gauge cluster) is that they can be "synced" together to almost share information. How nice would it be if when you started navigation, that it would place the map/directions on the instrument cluster and moved the speedometer and tachometer to a smaller, more conservative space. And when not using navigation, the display could show you any value you desire and however big you want it. I really hope for and look forward to this style of integration and muck more!

Cheers!

Oh, I definitely want to have a screen in the gauge cluster for the sort of integration you mention, but in your example, the part I'm not sure about is the value of having the speedo and tach shrinking and moving rather than just having the nav info show up in the middle of the cluster on a slightly smaller screen and getting to keep a nice looking physical speedo and tach. I've never had a car with a single flat screen as the cluster so I'm open to having my mind changed, but right now I think something like the current F150 is perfect in layout with the big screen between two physical gauges, just give it the ability to show my carplay google maps info in there.

The all digital dash looks kinda cheap to me over having a couple proper gauges. Reminds me of the gauge pods that come with aftermarket ECUs for if you can't be bothered to get your factory gauges hooked up properly.

i am open to a digital dash IFFFF it’s done right, many high end sports cars do it right. In eco mode. Displaying real time mpg and speed as just a number. Sport mode showing speed and tach, then race mode, center tach. If they can do something like that for the bronco I will be ok to.
As well as integrate information across both screens. sync 2 sucks at that. Having nearly the same info on both screens. If they can work out what Bucked said, full map in center then directions or arrows in dash. Perfect, etc

@Jalisurr I definitely like the f150 cluster for most applications, but even that is going away. The really important part like @FirstOnRaceDay mentioned is the implementation. It cannot be half arsed like sync 2. The goal is for seamless transitions. It has to adapt to the situation...

Fair point. That cluster there looks a lot better than the large simple flat looking panel we see on the F150 shots, a little depth and curve goes a long way. Plus the gauges images themselves look a lot nicer than this:

I also am not a huge fan of linear bar tachs, but that's a whole different topic.

I would have to say that there is no way that the screen shown in the F150 leaked photo is the actual fit and finish at all. That screen doesn't even lineup with the plastic shroud around it! Haha. And as far as the linear bar tach, that's really my point. If they do it right (and I expect them to) it will all be customizable to whatever you like. That is a win, win. What would be amazing is if the aftermarket was established to provide even more custom display layouts... hmm.

Its.... adequate. Not bad. But if I look at Rams design compared to this, this looks hodge podge and pieced together. I'm glad we still have physical buttons/knobs for HVAC tho! I can deal
