They literally just copied the CO concept and applied it to the wrangler...

OK those are pretty cool, actually. Even the Gladiator looks ok there.
Renderings always have a way of looking better in idea form vs reality (Ahem, Ford...)

Iā€™m not one for EVs yet, but Iā€™m intrigued by Jeepā€™s decision to use a 6 speed manual with this vehicle.
Thedrive posted a good article detailing how the Magneto concept drivetrain works:
https://www.thedrive.com/news/39877...neto-concept-works-with-a-manual-transmission

I think this is just a test by Jeep to see if their enthusiasts would support an electric version if it retained a traditional drivetrain. That would be the only reason to do something like this.
There are basically zero benefits to running motors through a 6-speed, which is why you don't see any of the legit electric vehicles using anything past a 2-speed, and most of them only have 1. The vehicles that do use a 2-speed are using them to push the top speed higher, which obviously wouldn't really apply to a wrangler.

AT least Jeep gave it the proper Black Mic top instead of grey.

Electric and a traditional drivetrain but what about the range?

Iā€™m not sure why Jeep is so blind, all they have to do is bring back the long wheelbase TJ 2door, aka ā€œLJ / Long Jeepā€ and keep the electronics to a minimum. It would crush. Extra credit would be the option of the Safari top for EJS....

Jeep is behind in the race before the Broncos ever hit the road, these are cool concepts but just extra accessories on the same vehicles I see every day, šŸ˜“šŸ„±.

I would love for a "LJ" Bronco. I need the space of the 4 door, but don't need the 2 extra doors.

BUT, It simply wouldn't crush. From the order's submitted here, among enthusiasts, only 6% of enthusiasts HERE ordered the stripper model base (2dr or 4dr) with no other packages.

6% of enthusiasts probably equals 1% of sales in the gen-pop. Look at most of the jeeps sold these days, most owners are buying the lifestyle that the enthusiasts ask for, but they never take their trucks off pavement. The same - sadly - will be true for Broncos.

Just because you or I would want it doesn't mean it makes any sense for Ford or Jeep to make it.

I dunno. I can see the electric motor having a defined ā€œredlineā€ in lower gears which may be better suited to the off-road scene. Iā€™m getting a BD w/ SAS knowing full well that Iā€™ll never utilize most of the capabilities.
