the capable bumper should be more $$$ than the modular ala carte.

doesn't make sense if ford won't give you a choice of either, especially if the buyer is willing to take something costing less and pay the same.

Capable Bumper was listed in the Jan 2021 accessory guide at $995. Shortly after, Ford pulled it for 2021. I'm hoping that we are price protected at that price.

Someone here pulled off his bumper and the wiring for non-existent fogs was there. No switch, of course. I wish I could remember where I saw that so I could link to it.

Not sure if mentioned already but it does look like the side caps are removable on the capbale bumper just not the entire side caps, like the front side of it with the sensor is not removable but i believe back portion is. It would free up a bit of space forwards but not entirely remove said end cap.

And that's it. So no removable endcaps and no mounting points.

FORD BRONCO CAPABLE BUMPER JOINS OPTIONS FOR 2022

For 2022, Ford is adding the Capable bumper to the Bronco lineup. Depending on trim, available choices for bumpers are now Standard, Capable, and Heavy-Duty Modular.



Capable Bumper

The Capable bumper (above) will be standard on Black Diamond and Badlands, replacing the current Heavy-Duty Modular default.

• Material: powder-coated steel
• Features: modularity, fog lights, recovery points, supports the brush guard, factory winch, and front steel bash plates
• Featured on Bronco Riptide Concept.

OTHER BUMPERS

Standard Bumper

The Standard bumper is default for Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Wildtrak.

• Material: plastic
• Features: fog lights, recovery points

Heavy-Duty Modular Bumper

The Heavy-Duty Modular bumper (above) is currently standard on Black Diamond, Badlands, and First Edition. It will be optional on every trim in 2022.

• Material: Steel
• Features: modularity, recovery points, supports the brush guard, factory winch, and front steel bash plates

Ford really knows how to screw people. I shouldn't have to pay more to change my bumper on an order that I placed months ago. This is getting to really frustrate me.
