Kinda surprised by this to be honest. Didn't think it would make it because of all the build quality issues so far.

Jeep had a number of candidtates that didn't make the cut:
• Jeep Compass High Altitude 4x4
• Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland 4x4
• Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve 4x4
• Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series II 4x4
• Jeep Wagoneer Series II 4x4
• Jeep Wrangler 392 Rubicon
• Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4xe

I think they are just doing what Ford should have done, and consider the Bronco a MY22 release. Either way, MY21=MY22 IMO...

They didn't include the MY2021 in their 2021 candidates, probably couldn't get one to review in time.

They are essentially the same, so does it even matter?

I wonder if it was a demo model with over 5k miles so Ford knew it wasn't going to drop a valve or loose a coolant hose or have a faulty ABS module or ...

Yes. Just like you can go to most dealerships (well, maybe not this year) and buy the next year model starting in September of the previous year. MY22 starts selling September of 2021. We all know this happens and just because Ford is starting their MY22 builds in December makes no real difference in the scheme of things unless there are significant body design or internal changes.

Other than "Consumer Reports" build quality/reliability never factor into a vehicle review. If all was considered "Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge would never get a positive nod.

I bet the grand wagoner is on the list next year. They like to put new models as 10 best to sell the mag.

Yeah, just like the "new" Honda Accord...
Only 36 times for them.

The review was fine but they need to correct the engine specs from 2.0 to 2.3-liter.
