2022 Bronco Paint Colors Leaked

Went by Mullinax Ford Apopka and saw some new Edges in different paint colors that I have not seen. So I snapped a few pics…..

I like Atlas more than Velocity. Don’t think I’d go flor the Burgundy even though it’s a cool color.

If this is correct, there'll be nearly the same number of colors as there are trim levels...LOL!! I call baloney. There's zero chance that Ford would cut out colors (and then offer so few) for the second MY of what is shaping up to be the single most important and profitable vehicle launch in company history. I suggest this is a subset of the final list that I expect will have at least 3-4 additional colors.

The Bronco is MAYBE top ten in terms of launches. By volume alone Ford has had multiple launches in the last decade more important than this one.

Been seeing these MY22 charts going around. Not sure where they came from but looks like some colors are going away. There was a mustang one with eruption green as well. Bye Velocity Blue and Rapid Red?

Here is the 2022 GT500 color list which was leaked at the same time, further legitimizing the 2022 Bronco color list:

All good points and most likely the case. But with everything else, hard to 100% rule it out. (Hey someone rule it out!)

I doubt this is the final list, and I think additional colors will be added. The same paint robots at MAP paint both Ranger and Bronco product lines, and those robots are allegedly limited to 11 colors because of space constraints for the paint lines within the robot arms as the arms twist around during the spray application process. That’s why there were 11 colors options for the 21MY Bronco.

The only plausible reason I can think of to limit the number of colors below 11 would be to simplify production scheduling. For example, if, say, 40% of total demand is for three grayscale colors — Oxford White, Shadow Black, and Carbonized Grey — the paint department at MAP could simply run double lines for those three colors to fill all 11 paint lines, thereby saving a little time during refilling on the most popular colors. However, I think the sales benefit of having 11 color options available would likely negate that small time savings. Otherwise, Ford would have already done it for this model year.

Anyway, that’s my theory why you can rule out this limited number of only 8 colors for the final options in 22MY.

That really sucks…I hope my Rapid Red gets built this year if it’s really getting dropped. I can’t believe they would drop that and keep Race Red.

Unfortunately unavailable on the base. At least Rapid Red is available on the base. If Ford plays some games for 2022 and further restricts base colors, I'll turn into a raging volcano. Ford offering a reasonable selection of colors on the base, was a nice thing about the 2021 model year, what little of it there has been.

By the way, does anyone know how Ford Race Red compares to Jeep Firecracker Red? Similar or different shades of red?

I have a race red wildtrak 2 door day 1 reservation, still no build date yet. If they added the code orange color from the Shelby to the Bronco that would be awesome. I would change to a 22 build in a heartbeat. I saw the pictures of the code orange bronco at Carlisle and that was pretty slick!

My wife and I just drove a Race Red Wildtrak 2 door out at Granger… it was pretty sweet and looked awesome. That 2 door was quick in Sport Mode too!
