Last Friday, we spent some time on the dyno with Matt's 2022 2.7l Wildtracks Bronco. Previously, it made 404 rwhp on e85, which was great. Matt wanted a little bit more, so he added CR Performance Engineering stage 3 turbos and a port fuel injector upgrade. The results? 501rwhp and 588 ft-lbs! We were definitely limited by the turbine size and look forward to trying stage 4 turbos, but for now, the stage 3s are doing excellent with almost no compromise in spool time and are perfect for daily driving.

This is pretty insane! Is this a custom tune or just bolt ons and one of the canned tunes? I have a 2.3 and waiting till someone figures out custom tuning so I can get some parts and ditch the Ford Performance tune. The FP tune is decent but people have been tuning Ecoboost mustangs for a while and theres a lot more potential in even the 2.3. I don’t really understand why it hasn’t progressed yet.

There is no swappable ecu for the 2.3l right now that's the issue.

This is a custom tune

That’s sick. I bet the traction control and your rear tires hate you.
It’s certainly rowdy.
I don’t know why this video has no sound, but you can see traction control doing it’s job at ~45 mph

Did you build the transmission?

Yes sir. It just has GPZ clutches. That’s all these really need to hold some power.
Ya, we talked about it being a decent unit to begin with. Congratulations on the power!

Since you know these transmissions pretty well, do you think that the 2025 Ford ST transmission cooler would fit on the Bronco (it looks like it bolts right to the side of the transmission). I am hoping I could use it to relocate the cooler from it's current position (as it's really tight with my winch up front).

Also, if you think that it might fit up (or similar cooler that would work to relocate) and know the part number, I would be indebted infinite beers to you.
