The rumored Ford Bronco Heritage Edition appears to be real and coming for 2022, according to a residual value guide sent to dealers.

According to Carsdirect.com, the Bronco Heritage Edition will offer both 2- and 4-door configurations for 2022. In addition to a base Bronco Heritage, the company is planning to offer a higher-end style called the Heritage Limited. Each style will come with Ford's advanced automatic 4x4 engagement system.

Some of the concerns cited in the article are an estimated 54% residual value for leases based on a 15,000/yr odometer. Coupled with the high demand and the low residual value, leases are expected to be high for the coveted Heritage Edition.

Of course, this information is mere speculative since the announcement isn’t likely to come until Q1 2022 but estimates are motoring those of the FE leasing upwards of $1,000/mo.

How would these bozos know the residual value of a lease for a vehicle model that isn't even on the market? Has anyone with a base model on lease even flipped it yet? How would they know that either? This website is trash.

I am not familiar with how residual values are set but the article states « according to a residual value guide sent to dealers ». Does Ford publish the residual value guide or some 3rd party finance company? 36 months and the value drops by 46% seems like a lot.

Any dealers on here know what pricing they're talking about? Still skeptical this is happening since they had Heritage on the 2021 lease residual list and we know that didn't mean anything. @DealerInsider @Zach@Granger

https://fordauthority.com/2021/10/2022-ford-bronco-heritage-confirmed-via-dealer-documents/

Back in January, Ford Authority reported that despite what rumors indicated at the time, a 2021 Ford Bronco Heritage model was not in the cards. However, just a couple of weeks later, Ford Authority obtained a complete list of 2021 Bronco lease residual values, which, oddly enough, listed the Heritage, indicating that it could possibly launch in the 2022 model year. Now, the existence of the 2022 Ford Bronco Heritage model has been confirmed by a dealer document obtained by Ford Authority.

The document, which outlines leasing information about 2022 Ford Bronco pricing, lists all available trims in sequence, with the Heritage and Heritage Limited appearing after the Wildtrak, which is currently the highest tier trim in the Bronco lineup. This presumably signifies that whatever the Heritage is, it’ll be its own trim series, not a package. Additionally, the 2022 Ford Bronco Heritage might contain some additional equipment and/or powertrain combinations that justify its seemingly higher price tag.

Most likely cosmetic, just my guess, with that retro looking whitish grill.

Probably a very dumb question, but was leasing an option when ordering a vehicle? Just in general, not specific to the Bronco. Idk why but I always assumed leasing was only for vehicles already on dealership lots. Do they actually order vehicles just as the customer wanted it, only to lease the vehicle and eventually receive the very customized vehicle back in a few years? With some vehicles (like the Bronco), selling a custom order in a few years with a bunch of accessories probably isn't a problem. But I imagine the demand for a fully loaded and customized Chevy Spark (or equally shitty car) is pretty low. But I guess customization options would also be pretty low on a vehicle like that, and they probably just take that all into account when determining the residual value. Just asking out of curiosity.

I can't speak for American brands, but most other brands like BMW, Benz, etc all let you order a car for lease. The whole 'buying from the lot" thing is pretty uniquely North American, everyone else orders their vehicles to spec.

54% on three years sucks. It really should be higher like a Jeep or Tacoma at this point in the game.
