I get where you are coming from, but if you watch the press driving reviews the BRaptor is clearly positioned as designed for both. (Which is different than F150 Raptor positioning.)

Off topic—a popular reason to add a snorkel is cleaner elevated air intake in a dusty desert environment though Ford is not positioning Everglades that way.
Fair, I should have posed that as more cold-air induction

Not a fan of the fenders, but we'll all get used to them. It'll be a non-issue.

Despite believing it won't matter once we're used to them, I did order the BRaptor in Shadow Black b/c I thought black would look better with the fenders. The video in the OP tells me it helps.

OTOH, my Wildtrak order is also Shadow Black, but I'm considering switching to Velocity Blue b/c the VB ones I've seen in the wild look much better to me than my impression of VB at the demos I've attended.

Frankly I’m ecstatic that they didn’t widen the bodywork like the F150 Raptor. i plan on using my Braptor more on trails than the wide open desert. Moving all the painted surfaces 5-6” out on each side will result in numerous scratches, dings and dents, and I’m just talking about in the parking lot at the mall. The trail would tear body/paint up.

Im also happy I have an extra 5-6” of room to get in and out of my truck in the garage and parking lots.

Finally, I’m not sure the proportions would work. The F150 is a lot longer, it can take that extra width and look stout.
Found it! Spy photo of a heavily camouflaged 2023 Bronco Raptor that resolves the flares issue.

They have put on big fenders all around and widened the cabin considerably. Looks awesome in the new Heritage Baby Blue!

I didn’t expect to explain my personal opinions, one shared by many on this forum, to an OBX owner, but I’ll try.

I’ll use the F-150 & F-150 Raptor as a comparison…

Do you see the most noticeable difference? It’s not widened with a plastic fender, it’s a buff-horse

That’s not the case w/the Braptor. It looks artificial. Slapping plastic fenders onto a +75K SUV didn’t do anything to improve the ethic designs… it cheap. It feels lazy.

The Raptor exists on its own. You wouldn’t confuse it w/a modded F-150, though you will find F-150 owners modding their trucks to look more Raptor like. I don’t see anyone slapping those untuched pockets on their Wildtrack, do you?

Personally, I’d wish it’d of been more like the R

I wouldn’t even care if they went w/the other grill just to define the Raptor separately

Your point is well taken. Two things to consider about those flares: First, Most people who have seen the Braptor in person say the flares are not as awkward as they look in some photos. Second, I firmly believe the aftermarket will run circles around the stock flares with all sorts of options.

Sorry for belaboring the point. I understand why folks don’t love the flares! I just get a bit snarky in response to negative comments (but yours were thoughtful and constructive) while I wait for my Raptor to get built.

I hope you’re right in aftermarket options for the BRaptor. I just think fab shops will have higher development priorities until Ford gets BRaptor production numbers up significantly.

Just dawned on me that the fender swap may require new rear doors if the flare mounts and contours are similar to the fender.

You posted this exactly same thing in like two or three other threads. How neat.

I def feel better. I just don't understand the repeated >> flares are too big/ugly.

Most people who don't like something move on and pick someone something else. They don't stand there and tell any stranger walking by how ugly something is.
