Other than that price point...geeze! I'm hoping to be around half that for the Bronco.

Eh. The Bronco is missing 2 of the 11 things I want in a vehicle, the 'Hummer' is short 9 of them.

(seriously, dumbest name ever. A HMMWV is a serious vehicle, a hummer is what Slick Willy was getting in the oval office way back when...)

"Pricing should be around $70,000. "

Nope., I'm out.

I get that it is my preference, but I'd start building another classic if that's what a starting price is looking like for a new offroader.

If they do launch it as a true EV, and not a hybrid like the Volt, that would immediately classify Jeeps and Broncos as HRV's... Hummer Recovery Vehicles.

Hopefully GM would have enough common sense to option a generator mount for it. I picture it on a swing gate on the back of the truck.

So you're telling me I need to get out of my truck and manually remove the top like a freaking peasant?

This needs to be the new standard

$70k, I'll find a H3 w/a stick and then swap in a V8, build it to overland after doing fbo and call it a day for a lot less

Kinda sad the article says, "//now we also know that it'll have removable roof panels. Yes, like a Jeep Wrangler. "

Ignoring that craptastic faux-conversation style of kid-writing, if the wider world knew about the Ford Bronco, it likely would have said, "Yes, like a Jeep Wrangler and Ford's upcoming Bronco."

A missed opportunity for free publicity.
