Wouldn’t it be amazing if it turns out all the steering wheels are the same and you just need a switch to get heated steering wheel? It’s possible. Anybody try it?

Can we assume all 2023s with have it back?
The Bronco brand manager (Matt) confirmed in an email to the folks at Bronco Nation that the temperature reading was back on 2023MY units.

So it was likely a 1-year-only change to help them with component shortages.

Or I guess maybe they legitimately could have thought it would be better on the Sync screen, and after they received the feedback from the community they decided to revert that change. It is somewhat logical, as the Sync screen is a more eye-level than the knobs are. But I'm much more inclined to think it was related to shortages.

It's a different wiring harness for the heated steering wheel, and probably a different steering control module as well. You could probably make it happen if you swap out all of the components, but you can't just swap out this panel and have it work.

So it’s just like the old days. Cig lighter was wired but they charged to snap the lighter into the dash hole. This was plug and play? Gained the AC features? Nice.

Because I'm almost always in android auto, I could never see the temp on the screen which also drove me weirdly nuts.
Are there different versions of Android Auto? I can see my temp in the upper corner's of the AA screen.

Might be because you have the 12 inch? I am always in an app and it doesn't show the interior temp on the screen when I'm in waze or pandora which are the two I use the most.

Update! Waiting to hear back from local dealer. Heated seats aren't working on the new module and it may need to be programed. Will let everyone know what I find out tomorrow.

Ah, that makes sense. I thought maybe there was the "full screen" AA I heard would come out at some point.

I’m guessing this wouldn't work with the base which lacks auto climate control. I do miss having that feature. If this was my DD then I would really bug me.

I get that people want to tinker with their Broncos, but is this really a $400 problem?

**Update - waiting to talk to local dealer. Module may need to be flashed. Heated seats aren't working.

I have a 2022 Badlands with mid package. Was reading through some other threads and wanted to try adding the 2021 display dials.

Anyways, part just showed up and I can confirm M2DZ-19980-C is setup for heated seats, heated rear window (hard-top prep package), and dual zone climate control.

Will post more pics when I get the dash apart and the new piece installed...

Updated with part numbers posted by @Ducati1098 :

M2DZ-19980-A
Less Heated Rear Window, Less Heated Steering Wheel

M2DZ-19980-B
Less Heated Rear Window, With Heated Steering Wheel

M2DZ-19980-C
With Heated Rear Window, Less Heated Steering Wheel

M2DZ-19980-D
With Heated Rear Window, With Heated Steering Wheel

Holly molly... So did they drop the price of my Bronco by $400 since I'm not getting the temp cages?
