It was just loading the config from the old module to get the heated seats etc to the correct as built values. No special change to enable display.
What values did you change back to your original ones? Did this remove the temp display on the top corner of your screen? Or does the 8" screen not have them to begin with?

So I created a backup of the old module, installed the new, then loaded the backup. This would make sure all values from the old are in the new. Part of why I wanted to swap the module is that in android auto on the 8 inch screen the values weren't there originally. The values still show when not in android auto and if you wanted to change that, you would need to pay with settings in the radio/ screen module.

Got it. Thanks for the information.

Guys I did this on my 22 F-150 as it did not have the temps on the dials anymore like the 21's did. There is a whole thread on the F-150 forum, here is the thread.

https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...g-in-hvac-control-knobs-for-2023-f-150.14077/

I will say that by loading the module as built made it super easy and it works perfectly on my F-150. Here is the youtube video which shows the absolute easiest way to load as built into the module using Forscan.

I will add that a lot of guys paid 300-400 for the F-150 unit and then they went way down to around $100. I am hoping the Bronco units will drop in price also as they both work exactly the same.

I think the 21 modules are probably near bottom because they are only listed to fit one model year. 23 has a different part number.

Probably right and that's why the price went down so drastically, I am hoping this will be the case with the Broncos. I will say I totally get you doing it, I did it on my F-150 and it is so much nicer having the temps built into the knobs.

**Update - Module works perfectly but did have to load the as built values from the old module. Displays the temp on the dials just fine with all the old values loaded. SUCCESSSSSS!!!! xD

I have a 2022 Badlands with mid package. Was reading through some other threads and wanted to try adding the 2021 display dials.

Anyways, part just showed up and I can confirm M2DZ-19980-C is setup for heated seats, heated rear window (hard-top prep package), and dual zone climate control.

Will post more pics when I get the dash apart and the new piece installed...

Updated with part numbers posted by @Ducati1098 :

M2DZ-19980-A
Less Heated Rear Window, Less Heated Steering Wheel

M2DZ-19980-B
Less Heated Rear Window, With Heated Steering Wheel

M2DZ-19980-C
With Heated Rear Window, Less Heated Steering Wheel

M2DZ-19980-D
With Heated Rear Window, With Heated Steering Wheel

Great thread!

Do you know if this will work on 22 Braptor and if programing will be needed too?

Not sure, but check part numbers. This seems like a weird part to make braptor specific. Flashing to as built values or loading from the current module to the new would very very very likely be required. Forscan is your friend with this and it is very easy. 😉

Part is $836.66 CAD so I will wait for price to come down.

I tried ordering part N2DZ-19980-D from Fairway Ford and they are on indefinite back order, I wonder if the '23 part N2DZ-19980-N is more readily available, waiting to hear back on that one.

N2 or M2... quick google shows a few online retailers with M2 in stock for under $500...

M2DZ-19980-D (from a 2021) is impossible to get right now and on a massive backorder
N2DZ-19980-N (from a 2023) is much easier to get and will probably only take a few days

I can confirm that the 2023 part number N2DZ-19980-N will swap right over and work perfectly after being programmed. (These part numbers are for Heated Rear Window, Heated Steering Wheel and Heated Seats)
