2022 Tacoma Trail

Everyone in here talking about the body style, when the real thing holding that beautiful truck back is the lackluster 3.5L V6.

After driving one yesterday and spending tons of time in a couple Tacoma forums, there's a stock Toyota tune that came in 2020 (and is available for 2016 and up) that fixed a lot of issues for most.
Also, OVTune exists and fixes everything and more for about $750.

Would I prefer something like a 2.7TT and 10 speed trans? Absolutely. And it seems like something like that will come on the 2023 model.

Fixed your typo. These rigs might have changed chassis some time after the Clinton administration, but you'd have a difficult time identifying the changes.

Not true at all - the 4Runner/Taco/Tundra are all moving to a new platform starting in 2022sh.

Tundra will eventually come out, and a friend who manages the service center of a Toyota dealership is indeed excited for the new Tundra. He's got a 2005 that genuinely appears to have been designed in the 1990's needing replacement and this is his Kool-Aid, especially if they come out with some stupid hybrid version.


Edit: I forgot to mention that Toyota now has Condom Goo (Japanese style, flavor and appearance!) paint color options, that's pretty cool for those wanting to, you know, look like their driving a used condom.

Coming from someone who owned a first gen now a third gen, and even had a pickup back in the day. I really like the trail package on the tacoma. As long as your not in the rust belt, u are not going to find a better midsize.
