They said that you could get the 2.7, but, if they restrict it to the Big Bend configurations - standard or mid-package will be the only options available. That would suck ass.
High would be cool but 2.7 is exciting for me then that’s good to hear. I’d then save the money I would have spent on Wildtrak Lux get pearl white katzkin heated and cooled seats and a custom stereo probably.

If it were just me I’d grab the 2 but we have kiddos and dogs so I’d need the 4 plus with SAS I figured the 2.7 is a must too
You do realize that rear seat room is about the same (within a 1/4" if I remember correctly). It's the storage area that is different, which can be mitigated by other means.

Yes just the doors are easier for them to get in and out with a 4 then putting seats forward and we have to haul around things for sports and travel often so would need the trunk space. Maybe one day when I am an empty nester I’ll look into a 2, who knows what they will have then lol

So currently, the WildTrak makes sense only if you want HOSS 3.0

Otherwise, I think that the interior in the cloth OBX is better than the cloth WT... Unless you have to have the Bronco embroidery in the interior seats.

If you want/need sasquatch, you can have it on either the WT or the OBX. For me, while I wanted a front locker, I didn't want the 4.7 gears or 35" tires; So I went with the advanced 4x4 transfer case and rear locker. The aftermarket rims and tires were under $2k (RTR Tech 6 rims and Patagonia M/T's in 295/70R17 - 33.5").

I think that it strikes a nice balance. I still have to install my Badlands Suspension, which has more articulation than the Sasquatch package as well. In the end, it is about the same price point as Sasquatch but with slightly different pros and cons.

If you are serious about wheelin' get the WildTrak with HOSS 3.0, otherwise, consider the OBX (with or without Sasquatch). I have a WildTrak HOSS 3.0 2 door on order for the girlfriend and currently own an OBX 2 door. If it was not for the seats, then it would probably have been an OBX (before HOSS 3.0 was a thing).

Right on thanks for explaining, those are some really good points. So for Wildtrak I wanted to have everything from factory but mainly was leaning towards that one over the badlands because of the gloss black wheels, roof rack, slide out tailgate, and I actually liked the graphics package but had thought hoss 3.0 was also better on road with stronger tie rods and a stronger steering rack.

I remember back to one of my first cars the ford escort zx2 and the tie rods broke on that as well as other suspension parts right after warranty expired and didn’t even do anything harsh just drove it on road. I just figured hey if I can get stronger steering especially if I will occasionally go off-road but mainly daily driver it I can do that. I also liked the sandstone and onyx leather seats in it.

Before the unveiling when I think of my favorite bronco it’s the teal or the blue with the white top classic ones and hoped one day they’d come out with one and was shocked when they just did. I know it’s not completely the same but once I saw it and now knowing 2.7 is an option I’m maybe 95% sold. I’d prefer blue but red works and I think ties in really well. I almost bought a 2 toned Indian motorcycle before I grabbed my amber whiskey Harley street glide because I love the retro colors and white.

I think I’d love to have the bigger screen and adaptive cruise, heated steering and 360 camera but I don’t technically need it. Heated seats and remote is a must as I’ll probably be parking outside so at least I guess with mid I can get that.

What I’m deciphering:

Heritage - based on Big Bend Sasquatch. Looks to be an “unlimited” amount available to existing orders who want to switch (when?). Base price probably doesn’t include mid package.

Heritage Limited - based on fully loaded Badlands. Limited to 1966 units. Only available in certain colors being rolled out all the way through late 2023 or 2024. Will be interesting to see how they allow ordering or golden tickets. Love the plaid leather.

My 2 door base squatch will be very tempting to switch to a Heritage…but probably not. Don’t love the blue plaid cloth with race red.

I have a First Edition now and I want to trade for an HE Limited. I put myself on the waitlist on 10.25.21 hoping the the HE would be a future option. My dealer said that he won't know anything until end of August on how to order and HE. He hasn't always been accurate in the past. Any opinions on the best way to order an HE Limited?

Will it be an issue to convert my Black Diamond non-scheduled reservation to convert to a non-limited edition heritage?

Do you have to stay within your trim level?
The issue might be that you won’t get any price protection since the Heritage Edition is considered a trim and not an optional package.

Allocation > Reservations

So if you are the oldest reservation at a dealer that has allocation, assuming that the dealer doesn't play fuck-fuck games, you have a great chance.
I’m a 7/14 reservation, can’t remember if that’s day 1. I hope you’re optimistic view plays out.

Be sure to hang it over the kids head when they get old enough to care. My Dad still blames me for having to sell his '62 corvette when me and my brother came along (Twins will do that)

Lol they’re looking forward to the bronco and point them out when we see them. I always figured I’d get a more door so it doesn’t really bother me. When they’re old enough I might get them a used 2 door for a first car

I did for my son (Man Basesquatch 2Dr). A couple days ago he came home at 6 AM saying how much he loved that car. I think his date went well.

Not one regret going with the Lux package. The high package offers the most bang for your buck, but I do a lot of highway driving and really wanted the adaptive cruise control.

If I remember correctly, it was about $2000 more than the high package and a $3500 upgrade over mid-package. Given that I will be over 35,000 miles this year, having the Lux package was totally worth the 10 cents a mile it cost me.

Did I need it? No, I could have kept driving my 250k miles 2011 F-150 XL with roll down windows, no power locks, bench seat, and rubber floors.

However, driving the Bronco 12 hours every weekend is much more relaxing than driving the F-150. It is no contest when it comes to driving comfort (and safety from the perspective of the electronic aids). Although the F-150 did remarkably well when deer tested at 80MPH towing a 25' boat. I don't think that the Bronco would have survived as well.

Howdy, I haven’t read all the threads. But just to confirm the Limited only comes in 4 door? I’ve got a short attention span. 😄
