2023 MOD Top Close-Up Photos and Technical Review

Thank you to @Administrator for the pics of the 2023 Heritage Edition with MOD Top we can now start to see the potential for other models. That is of course, IF, Ford makes it available for ALL models as promised in 2020.

Here are some close-up photos for your inspection and comments. Overall it seems almost ready for prime-time, although the 2-door top is miss-aligned between the front and rear sections.

After two years of additional work can we hope the MOD Top will not be the same fiasco as the MIC top?

That was compiled by Zach based upon information known in March 2021, before the first Broncos rolled off the production line. It simply meant it wasn't an available option in 21MY.

After seeing this, I don't hate my molded top so much. I'm not into the painted top as much as I thought I might be. Might just be me though!

Huh, first time I noticed that the MOD top wasn't available for Base Trim (initial info). I wonder if they'll still take that position when it's finally released?

Also, I suppose they reduced the size of the Gunner's Hatch to only open up directly above the rear passengers?

Yes, it will scratch, just like the MIC will. With the MOD top you could cover it with PFF to give some level of protection.

Some documents said it was standard on the Wildtrak and optional on the Badlands and Outerbanks. Other documents claimed it was available on all trims.

There were three configurations documented, Black, Body Color and White.

Unknown if that feature made it to the final version. There were some issues with the prototypes, especially the 2 door which has a very large, heavy, and unwieldy slab of window. Hopefully they figured it out, very cool feature.
