I bet some 2022 models will be converted to 2023, which means they will have to open up orders for '23 for that to happen. It also does not mean it is a conspiracy against you. It is a logical business practice as things progress forward when dealing with more orders than what can be built in a year.
Of course it is not me -- it's this messed up system. My issue is not that they have more orders that they can build, it is that they are not being built with any regard to when reservations were taken. I have a lowly optioned 2-door reservation that it appears will go from a 2021, to a 2022, and now a 2023, and that's not even a guarantee at this point.

OK, so with the latest events, limited scheduling chip shortage etc., the biggest question is how they will treat those of us who have ordered a 21, then had to re-order a 22, and now it appears as though we may have to re-order a 23??? I do not see any way they get all of the orders placed by the cutoff, along with the previous unbuilt reservations, being completed by the time they start to build 23MYs. Not at the rate they are building now.

Price protection????? From what I have seen dealers are already trying to play dumb with the second price protection. Let alone throw in a third.

There is NO DOUBT in my mind that I will see people walk in a dealer in August and order the same build as mine and get it before I get mine. Not complaining just saying it WILL happen.

I will be optimistic - maybe they are thinking that they can complete all the open orders this year so they are just getting ready for the next wave by opening up the order banks. hahahaha.. I reserved/ordered like one day after the price protection cutoff, so I am sure they don't mind bumping me to 23.

So much for catching up before opening up the order banks again. I will bet money that someone who orders 8/15 will get their Bronco before mine gets built (or maybe even scheduled).
I would never take that bet!

I have seen price protection back to original order (whatever that is, 21 or 22). Ford gives a "price protect" rebate, then the dealer has to submit for the remainder to come on the "parts statement" from ford. Dealers should not be hitting the customer UNLESS they made a major change to the order that nullifies the price protect (such as model change like outer banks to badlands, etc). There are dealers out there doing the right thing by the customers. I see it every day.
