It's been approx. 5 months since I picked up my 2024 Big Bend.

Here are my initial impressions and observations:

1. Exterior-
Love the look and styling of the Bronco. Too many rounded cross overs out there, not enough old school looking Trucks and SUV's in my opinion. I was a little worried about how the Bronco would look with the stock 32" tires (non-sasq) but on the 2 door I think it works fine and the proportions of the vehicle are just right. I could upgrade to the 33" badlands wheels/tires, but have no urgency to do so. I really am digging the gray wheels with the Azure gray paint and accents. Speaking of paint, the Azure Gray was a just under 1k option and I don't regret it at all. I had the paint ceramic coated which really helps with keeping it clean, as well as appearing clean when it isn't. The metallic flake is just subtle enough to give it some character and depth. The hoop steps were another question mark for me vs a full running board, but I really like them. They are grippy, and extremely functional when navigating into the car as well as behind the seats. Love the upgraded LED headlights as well. Visibility is great especially out that panoramic right rear window.

2. Performance-
The base 2.3L 4cyl engine is peppy and provides plenty of power when on the hwy, passing etc. I haven't really had the need to go into Sport mode due to lack of performance. I used the sport mode in my Mazda cx5 frequently as it had very little grunt without it. The automatic transmission has been great, shifing is fast and smooth. Gas mileage has been "good". I did a lot of research on the forum and knew what the range was. Without the extra weight of the larger tires, bumper etc.. I am getting 18-22 city/hwy combined which is fine for the amount of driving I do. Handling on the 2 door is great.. surprised by the turn radius and no problems parking the beast.

3. Interior-
Cabin Noise has been a interesting dynamic with this vehicle. The hard top panels have been fairly quiet with only wind buffeting on highway drives. The interior itself is prone to outside noise, tires, wind etc. But overall it has been livable to the point where I could do prolonged road trips with no problems. The marine grade vinyl seats have been extremely comfortable. I did add the seat risers to allow my legs to be supported a bit more which really helped. Yes, the plastic does scratch easily, but I was able to get most scuffs out using a Mr Clean Magic Eraser.

The controls for climate, sound, modes, etc are very straightforward and most importantly don’t require a lot of interaction with the main screen. I love the larger screen for backup camera, stereo, gps maps, etc. I am really disappointed that they did not make a front facing camera standard. That is a big disappointment, but I can live with it until an after market solution arrives (maybe).

4. Misc/Mods, etc-
Adding the Bestop Sunrider has increased the noise dynamic, but not to the extent I feared. It’s been “livable” with a bit more wind noise, a few popping noises etc.
I did add additional weather stripping as well as adjusting the front brackets which has helped.
The benefit of the Bestop Sunrider far outweigh the minor drawbacks of additional noise. After taking the hard top panels off a few times during sunny weather I realized the sunrider would be a simpler solution. It’s been a game changer to be able to open the top in the morning and then close it when inclement weather appears.

I also added soundskins sound deadener to the entire interior and doors, as well as upgrading the stereo amplifier and speakers. The sound deadener has reduced overall road noise levels significantly as well as enhancing the sound of the updated stereo system.
The addition of a rear tailgate table and rear shelf has really increased the functionality of the vehicle in regards to my work and storage capacity.

4. Fun Factor-
This “truck” is so much fun to drive. You sit up high and it just feels like you can go over anything (goat?). Having the top open and windows down adds to the experience. I have not had the doors and rear cap off but feel like that would take this to the next level. Will be looking into door brackets and a lift system for the garage to accommodate taking those pieces off.

5. Issues-
The only issue so far is a passenger side tilt adjustment handle that broke. This was fixed under warranty.

Took the Bronco to my detailer to touch up the retro fender badges.
I had the truck ceramic coating applied with the original "fridge magnet" badges still intact. I should have removed before coating, but wasn't sure about how the replacement would go. Once I added the new badges you could clearly see the uncoated areas of the fender.

Installed matte black hood vinyl combined with a gloss black "big bend" overlay.
Turned out really great. I originally purchased the sticker fab overlay and was going to have my local vinyl shop install it. Once they inspected the vinyl I was informed that the quality was lower grade and would not hold up as well. I ended up having them reproduce the design with a higher quality vinyl.

Upgraded the stock sound system with a JBL amp and replacement speakers.
Also had Sound Skins sound deadening installed in the full interior and doors.
A huge difference in sound quality, especially from the rear speakers. Sound deadening has made the interior ride quieter.

Replaced the blue steering wheel stripe with a matte black as the blue color was just didn't match with other blue accents. I really want a gray stripe but difficult to match the steering wheel gray.

Redline Hood Struts installed. Wish these were stock from the factory. The mounting bolts were a bit difficult to reach and secure the brackets.

I had some issues with my Stereo Upgrade after the fact. I discovered that Ford was piping in fake engine noise through the stock sound system attempting to make the little 4cyl sound better than it actually does. Once the new speakers and amplifier were installed the noise got worse. To the point where it sounded like I had a hole in my muffler every time I stepped on the gas. Bronco 6g Forum to the rescue!
I discovered a product called forscan allows you to modify certain settings within the cars computer programming. I attempted to fix this via a trip to the dealership service dept, but there were clueless. Didn't even take the time to listen and deal with this seriously.
When you want something done right, sometimes you have to do it yourself.
Here is the specifics on what I did:

I would recommend using a Windows laptop, downloading the windows version of the Forscan software and also purchasing the recommended usb link cable.

A 2 month trial license needs to be generated and installed on the laptop with the software in order to have a fully functioning version to make changes.

It is all detailed in the Youtube video below. Based upon my experience the person should have some comfort level working with computers and/or diagnostic equipment to make the change.

Backing up the config before making the changes is easy and detailed in the You Tube video as well.

Entire Bronco 6g thread on the subject:

Great Tutorial on how to use forscan (he is using a Bluetooth cable, but recommend the usb for stability)

Adjustment for LUX Package B&O Stereo Equipped Broncos using Forscan

LUX PKG

Okay just called my buddy. It is part of the ANC setup so yeah more prominent and or exclusive to vehicles with Lux. It's part of the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) so those without Lux either get a reduced version of the fake ass engine noise or none at all. I knew it was generally complained about for vehicles with higher trims. Anyways if you have Lux there is ANC in the DSP and you can turn it off with ForScan and see if it helps make it go away. @LightRefined

My original post in the ACM (Audio Control Module) is for Software ANC. Both may need to be disabled. Also both may not work. No clue but good luck. Weiners crossed

783-01-01*xxxxx--C=ANC Disabled D=ANC Enabled

Adjustment for Broncos with Base 7 speaker system using Forscan (NO LUX)

I have a 2024 Big Bend with the base 7 speaker setup. I did all the recommended speaker and amp upgrades and added an extra sub and amp in the back. Got everything tuned in the garage and decided to take it out for a drive and is sounded like a garbled grumble was coming from somewhere. I thought something was rubbing on the tires. Then I thought I screwed up the speaker and amp install. Did some research and for the first time heard about the fake engine noise. I didn’t think they would include it on the base BB model but mine had it. The forscan is different than the Lux models in that we don’t have a DSP module. I found after a while that I only have to change the following to turn it off:

ACM 727-01-01 xxxx-xxxx-*xxx

Original showed 382B 16F1 10AA
Fixed version shows 382B 16F1 00AA

Keep in mind this code above is before any speaker change settings that are recommended for this same module. Ford obviously stuck a lot on this chip.
FYI - the engine sounds like a 4cyl now

Did some more research and found a guy in Texas who used Forscan to fix the fake engine noise issue, but also reset the factory head unit via Forscan to enhance the sound of the aftermarket speakers. Apparently the factory settings do not get changed when swapping out the stock speaker system.

I did the Forscan modifications below using his suggestions (arrows) and it completely opened up the sound from the speakers and the amp.

It resolved the sound issue I was telling you about where the sound volume was not granular. It felt really harsh before, now it feels more like a surround sound room filling effect.

These are the Forscan settings for the EQ

The red arrows are what I used and it sounds great.

The green text is what others have recommended.

You can easily try both to see what you think is best for you.

Either way if will make a huge difference.
