Seems a little pricey considering Forscan is free and the connector is only $60. Plus with Forscan you get more opportunities to customize. What am I missing?

You got it. I won one in a drawing and it never worked on my 23. I can't get an answer if there is a SW update for the thing - my only interest in this thread.

There's a lot of discussion about it on the 2024 ProCal 50 State Approved thread.

From what I have heard - '23 and '24 models lose the ability to have ASS memory and rev matching. I currently have them, I haven't updated my ProCal since I installed it last year though - and I'm not about to go try it out to see what happens.

If you already have it, you can keep it - so long as you DO NOT update ProCal online. Basically don't plug the dongle back into the computer.

I do not think there is a way on ProCal to revert to older tunes - once you "update" to the latest, you are stuck -- short of someone at Ford Performance going in and helping you out.

Which kind of sucks, since you kinda have to do that if you want to use it to upgrade your front axle. Steering rack you can get around, but not sure how to get around the FAD delete without ProCal and doing an update.

The Flashcal can easily be updated in the field if you have one that needs to be updated to work in newer models as we release coverage.

Ford changed the way the auto start/stop works for 23+.

Update any existing 1546 with our Update Agent software on a PC or Mac, and it will work on the 2024 models.
You can d/l it from this page:

For many people, Forscan can be more than they want to deal with. Here's a video from one users perspective.
