it looks rad but EV is dumb, sorry. Designed to be off grid yet dependent on the grid. Throw in an OG air cooled 4-cylinder or something small and lightweight, NOW were talking.

I signed up for the beta because, well, why the heck not? A chance to drive and test a free car for a year, sound good to me. I drive less than 20 miles a day to work and back so a charge would last 2 weeks. I'll have a Bronco for off road adventure duties. And if I end up liking it, I wont mind spending about $8 per "fill up" (based on current prices in my area which is actually 40% higher than national average, thanks California!) compared to about $70 for a full tank on my Focus. I'm not a fan of "electric is the future" but I cant think of a more fun and sporty way to see if its any good. But what do I know, i'm just a dumbass that still lives in California. 🤷‍♂️

What's the point, insurance covers it either way? Should we just avoid developmental progress? And this is from someone not sold on EVs yet either, but they have their place.

The train has left the station, without progress, we would still have the original Red Flag law of 1865...
155 years ago, Lord Palmerston's Liberal government passed a law that, according to one writer, "effectively stopped innovation in powered road transport in Britain for over a quarter of a century". The Locomotive Act 1865 became known as the Red Flag Act, thanks to its extraordinary stipulation that any self-propelled road vehicle had to be preceded by a person walking at least 60 yards ahead, carrying a red flag.

we’re not where we need to be just yet, and as I stated before, free market, not govt mandate, should dictate how things go
