Better design, but that integrated step and grille bar are too Chevy/GM... fire any designer who ever worked for those mullet artists.

Looks like the current colors are:
- Oxford White
- Iconic Silver
- Cactus Grey
- Carbonized Grey
- Azure Grey

- Velocity Blue
- Hot Pepper Red
- Shadow Black

Ranger Raptor must have a funky transfer case. Uses 4.70 gears in the front diff and 3.73 gears in the rear? Rock Stars at it again

Won't lie... as someone who used to write technical documentation... I can relate.

It's one of those things where you are just staring at spreadsheets all day and waiting for responses from engineers who are too busy to respond to you. AND THEN, once you finally finish, you ask your coworkers to check your work they all suddenly have important meetings to go to cause no one actually wants to proof-read spec sheets.

So you have to proof read your own work after you've already stared at it glassy-eyed all day... and one rogue copy/paste ruins the whole thing.

That Raptor is going to be insanely popular at that price.

Pretty much, but I think I'd actually go Oxford on a Ranger. Except for one major detail that keeps it off my radar....

The new color is called Shelter Green, I just caught this blurb in the Motortrend article;

"Our photo vehicle features a new Raptor color called Shelter Green, which incorporates gold metal flakes and will eventually replace the Code Orange paint option on other Raptors."

I'm torn on that color. Why no desert sand?

No code orange. The engineers at the press event last weekend told me “it’s been done.”
That’s hilarious. It’s been done. Because all the Ranger colors listed are fresh and new, not to mention bold…

So is there no Super Cab any more? No long bed? No stick shift?

It's reminiscent of Antimatter Blue, in where unless its in direct sunlight, it hides the true color of the paint.

Yeah... I had hopes on the manual after they gave it to the Bronco. The assembly line is already setup for a manual variant, and the MT82 (which is probably the transmission they would use) is already used a few miles away at the Mustang assembly plant.

But the farther we got along the less likely it became...
  • No manual in the Southeast Asian/Australian Ranger variant at launch.
  • Announcement they were scheduling primarily manual Broncos back in January this year
  • Dropping the MT82 option from the EcoBoost Mustang for 2024MY
  • And finally... the nail in the coffin is when they announced you couldn't order a manual Bronco once the order banks opened back up.
Honestly I should have probably stopped having hope after they didn't release the Southeast Asian variant, but.... I HAD A DREAM.

Take-rate was low on the Bronco. A lot of the Everglades customers that could have ordered it ended up with Eruption Green instead. So I betcha Ford is thinking to themselves "AH wow, greens are selling! Let's give 'em more greens."

I would really like the iPad style vertical screens to stop. They look awful and digital buttons will never be better than physical. Designers must be sick by having to build around those dumb screens
