2024 Wildtrak interior handle swap (from standard blue color) - pics

For anyone that is thinking of changing the blue trimmed grab handles on their 2024 WildTrak I thought I would post a few pics. From the first day I got my Eruption Green 2 door I couldn't stand the blue on the handles. When I saw the interior on a 2024 Outer banks I knew I needed to ordered a set. After changing the handles to the tan colored ones, I also noticed the trim on the top and bottom of the old handle is a dark grey that does not match any part of the interior trim.

The gray accents on the First Edition may or may not have influenced my choice of Cactus Gray color.

Looks good or should I say it looks like it should have in the first place! It’s too bad that for 4 years people are put in a position of finding the least offensive color combinations especially us 2 door owners. For the most part, Ford did me a favor by making me wait then coming out with the race red Heritage.

Looks much better with the matching dash part. I personally like the blue accents... but its also because it looks right on my velocity blue and my roast interior has the matching blue stitching so it all pairs well - but the mismatching dash part would drive me crazy. Mine match my dash properly. I wonder why they did that?!

I have a friend with a Wildtrak and I mock the painters tape blue accents every time I see them (Ford...WTF were you thinking). I absolutely love what you did - the vehicle should have come that way.

In my case, I absolutely couldn't stand all the safety cone orange accents on my Bronco Raptor so I addressed that too. I started by buying the cheapest Mode dial I could find from my favorite Parts guy and popped off the silver trim ring and put in place of the "hey, look at me!" orange one.

Bozo the clown vent tabs, buh bye! I did the same as the OP and swapped them out for some BDUSA ones as well.

The hideous orange on silver BRONCO letters on the vertical dash face on the passenger side...covered them up with some gel letters from Tufskinz in Iconic Silver to match the paint outside.

And instead of the sizeable payout for grab handle replacements I used Tufskinz gel fiber inserts instead.

In the end, a safety cone tone reduction plan that leaves the vehicle with much more subtle accents. Now there is some orange stitching here and there (as well as the bungee cord in the map pockets, etc, that I may change to silver too).

I just don't get the random, contradictory color splashes that Ford thought were so exciting. I get that some may actually like painters tape blue but to me it is hideous, as is the orange everywhere on the Braptor. Thankfully there are ways to address it. Nice job OP, your interior looks so much better than what Ford interior designers felt appropriate.

I never could figure out why I could custom order my El cheapo 21 Big Bend with sandstone at no charge. It makes me happy every time I open the door. . Do they offer it on BBs anymore?

Looks really good but the reason it is blue is to match the stitching in the seats. It is very subtle but exact same blue.

I went to the hobby shop and bought some satin black paint and just painted the blue parts of the handle black as well as the little trim pieces. Now it looks like it should have from the factory
