Does anyone know what changes Ford made for the 2.3L in 2025?

This is the new 2.3 with port/direct injection.
Same one that was introduced last year for the Mustang and this year for the Explorer.
I didn’t think Ford was switching Bronco to the new 2.3 this year, but apparently the information I had was wrong.

Wow that is a completely different configuration. That will be fun for parts down the road. Aluminum valve cover is nice but it looks like little is interchangeable

Great!!!! That's one of the things that's has been holding me back. Just one more want, not as major, but close. A Manual Hand Energy Brake! At least for the Bronco's with MT's.

There is a 3rd thing....
Drop Down Tailgate for the 2D's.

A new question about this 2.3L

Where's the Alternator located? Down Low or Up High?
Does anyone see an accessory drive belt?

According to the WSM, they did indeed.
I’m definitely surprised also

So that means the 2025 Ranger on the lot I thought I was looking at was a 2024. Cool.

Whelp, time to go add some corrections to my videos.

I think the thing that baffles me the most, is they did this before redesigning the 3.0 and making it dual fuel.
Which is arguably far over due now and wouldn’t take much considering the 2.7/3.0 are so similar.

Does this motor come with improved power output also?
Glad to see the alternator moved up.

Also makes me question why they dropped the MT-82 on the 2.3L Mustang.

But anyway… cool!
