Thanks, just me being illiterate.See post number 96 just above
I just noticed you didn't mention anything about the Upper A-Arms. For non-sas and SAS, is it automatic to replace the upper a-arms when lifting beyond what is in stock for the sas or non-sas?This is the current recommendation on how to choose your lift. I no longer recommend spacer lifts, this is due to possible cv axle damage and added wear to front differential seals. I am also not recommending lift springs since they don't always net the same lift and that you need more shock to control them. I have become much less concerned with suspension travel as we find the limits of stock parts. This is based on running stock parts like factory cv-axles which is the biggest limiting factor to lifts.
Did that include lube and a reach around? Because then it might have been worth it, especially if you got to video tape it.Quote from my dealer to install the Wildtrak fox shocks on my Badlands. $6100. I guess that will be a pass
Upper control arms are extremely worth it if you get the right ones. Currently I have been doing some research and I am pretty sure Zone is the best budget option even over the cheap 4wp ones. But so little is know about how much each brand actually changes the setting it's a wash at low lifts. You can run stock uppers on 4" of lift, aftermarket arms make a mild difference in road tracking. 1 degree of caster correction is not going to feel like much and what I got with 4wp upper arms.I just noticed you didn't mention anything about the Upper A-Arms. I am working on adding the full 3D UCA motion to a kinematic model. Kinda painful. But this will fully track the king pin axis as the LCA cycles. It will be easy to add any UCA geometry to the model, just need new upper ball joint location. Easy to measure from aftermarket UCA.Upper control arms are extremely worth it if you get the right ones. Very interested in your new model when it’s ready to share. Really appreciate all the work you’ve done already and continue to do to help with suspension geometry — thank you!I am working on adding the full 3D UCA motion to a kinematic model. Kinda painful. I went ahead and got me some 4WP coilovers a couple months ago. Haven’t put them on yet. Great price. Hope I get some time this summer to beat on them. Also got a decent deal on a hoss 3.0 preprogrammed rack. It’s a broncbuster rack.don’t tell snacktime. It did come with a cast iron upgraded passenger housing though.
The 4wp/procomp coilovers are <1200 right now.Very interested in your new model when it’s ready to share. Really appreciate all the work you’ve done already and continue to do to help with suspension geometry — thank you!
A new HD rack is on my list. Really digging my 37’s but hesitant to push too hard until I get the upgraded rack swapped in. Curious what kind of dollars you spent — you can DM if you prefer, or tell me to pound sand, lol.
It's entirely possible that I programmed it.I am working on adding the full 3D UCA motion to a kinematic model. Kinda painful. But this will fully track the king pin axis as the LCA cycles. the 4WP coilovers were just under $1200. Too cheap for me to pass up. The hoss 3 rack is not bad either. You can probably get one for $1000 or so. The programming is an issue for me. If something can be bricked I am the guy that can do it.Very interested in your new model when it’s ready to share. exactly. Either way you would have been the one programming it after I screw it up.It's entirely possible that I programmed it.
I have a set on the way aswell.the 4WP coilovers were just under $1200. Too cheap for me to pass up.
the rear travel on them is interesting. Good numbers but skewed highly towards jounce as compared with others.I have a set on the way aswell.
Last I heard, Boss only has ~10 or so sets left.
Yup, I am planning on getting some tender springs so I can run them lower than the specced minimum. I think they are getting most of the additional travel, especially in the rear, because of the really neat upper mounts. The upper shock mount is well above the stock mount location, and higher than any other shock I have seen. This allows for a longer shock (more travel) without only being more droop.the rear travel on them is interesting. Good numbers but skewed highly towards jounce as compared with others.
