Has anyone with a Black Diamond upgraded their 190 front end to a 210? I know it can be done as Ford has most of it mapped out with their parts listing and required programming. The only thing I don’t know would be the hero switches aspect of it.

@flip by any chance do you have any insight on something like this?

If my Granger order doesn’t get picked up, then I am likely going this route. And if I am going that far I might just go with 4.7 gears or higher if offered. I’ve heard rumors of gearing in the 5s.

I'm looking into this as well, I'm going to add SAS wheels and shocks that I already have to my Base 2 dr auto with 3.73's. I've read opinions that it is fine and it isn't so when I get mine in the next couple of weeks I can decide after SAS parts are installed. I found this on LP's site and the prices are much better than Ford's. I also read you need a new front driveshaft as well but there a few guys that were able to use the M190 shaft.

I've got essentially the same info you do at this point. Didn't see anything in the programming instructions that detail that procedure. Probably done though prompts on the tool itself like FDRS.

What about the Hero Switch Panel? That would be the part and part number I think is the outlier. I’m assuming that the wiring harness is under the dash. So I “think” that connecting the new Hero switch panel to the wiring harness and the new required calibration required per the part’s description, which is tied to the vin of your Bronco, everything should line up.

I agree but I don't think it's been done yet, I'm not that concerned as I can wire it up to the upfitter switches if it doesn't work out. I think you need a pigtail mentioned in this thread as well.

I don't have that answer but it would make sense that you would need to replace it with one with the front locker option unless there's some sort of other input or sequence to activate either through the goat switch or ??

I think there are people who have done this swap with using the Aux switches for the Front Locker which is cool.

If you have done this swap, please speak up, let us know difficulties, friction points, lessons learned etc…As I think there is quite a few of us that want to do this.

Front Drive Unit: $1965
Half Shafts: $495
Req. Calibration: $895
Hero Switches: $97

Total: $3452

Keeping in mind that some people @flip give discounts, etc…looks like all the parts come with 36,000 miles warranty, so this may be a way to go for non-SAS Bronco owners.

@CMillBronco also posted above a link to @LethalPerformance their conversation kits that have all the parts already packaged together at a good price, but don’t see a hero panel switch in their description. Which leads me to believe that we may have to use an AUX switch. But I hope that isn’t the case.

Like you linked above, I'm in the process. I got the harness and the hero switch, want one without swaybar disconnect. I'm hoping flip comes through on that one. I'm thinking Forscan will be all we need and the values from like vehicle but with Sasquatch package.

Here is the harness I bought.

I just need to figure out which harness this harness replaces and swap them. Hopefully it all comes together like it was done at the factory.

I am watching for used units, I see this being a $1500 modification using FDRS software.

More than half the broncos sold have a m210 front.

Yeah, they seem scarce at the moment.
