IDK if anyone has noticed, but when looking at the prices from a 2D to a 4D its a $2495 difference from all the trims except the base trim.
I calculated the difference when you switch from 2D to a 4D (which is only the automatic transmission standard on 4 door and the extra 2 doors) comes out to be a $610 "ghost upcharge".
10 speed $1595. 4 door upgrade $2495. = 4090. but the increase from a 2D to a 4 Door is $4700, u can do the difference between 4700-4090=610

it gets worse when the Base 2D adds sasquatch for $5790 (adding automatic transmission)
but the Base 4D when adding sasquatch also ups the price by $5790, although automatic transmission is standard on the base 4D, it seems like they charged another 1595 for the 10sp
after doing some math, I calculated the differnces between the 2, and concluded that the 4D sasquatch adds about $2205 to the MSRP for nothing,
both got the sasquatch, bot got 10 speed, only differnce is doors now
sasquatch 4 Door should be 38280 but instead is 40485

Please see this thread for more discussion on pricing.

Base 2 Door is priced lower than Ford would probably actually want to sell it in order to list under $30K as @rtaylor noted, making it an exceptional deal.

Also, at least as of now on the Build and Price, Base 4 Door comes with automatic which could account for some of the difference (although whether or not auto is included on Base 4 Door has changed a couple times).

I have a theory that they are going to make the Base 4 door manual standard that’s why the up charge is that much

I have a theory that the Base 4D will keep the 10A .
For the same reason the 2D Base has a hard top and power widows.
It totally jack's Jeep's Wrangler profit structure in the anus.

they don't just add 2 more doors. Other things change.

The 2-door base is a hell of a deal and one that I feel will change for 2022. The deal is just too good for me not to take advantage of. I think I'll get the Base/Squatch 2-door for a great price and drive that for a couple of years before I go all in with a Badlands. By then, they'll have more colors/options/tops and things will be straightened out.

Exactly my thoughts.
I don't see that pricing staying around for long.
Im going to be all over the BaseManSquatch.
