Welcome all opinions on whether this would work
I have been on 25 threads and if this specific thing has been discussed, well I missed it and apologize in advance to all who go sideways over repeat threads (you know who you are and so do we)

Edit: I plan on replacing the wheels with aftermarket, i think that needs mentioning

Thanks

The overland concept has the Sasquatch 35's (LT315/70R17), but it is NOT lifted like the Sasquatch package.
So yes, 285/75/17 will fit without modification.

ah thanks to you both - I will need to check that overland rig again - I remember thinking it looked too stuffed and i don't want that - i want the higher stance, with some wheel well space and the 34 tire (it's what I have now and really like it - non Rubicon Sport with 2 inch lift and 35s - mileage and ride did not suffer much at all) - trying to achieve that proportion on this bronco
any more opinions more than welcome

And I am thinking that the slightly smaller 33.9 inch tire with the narrower width will look perfect, better than the overland concept with it's 35s and fatter width

How do 34/10.50/17 compare to 285/75/17?
I run a 285/75/17 on our JKU with a 2.5" AEV lift. They are 34x11.5. good size in my opinion. Barely shorter than a 315 and 1" narrower. Makes for a better street ride without sacrificing much off-road.

I was gong through is as well, there are also a few good tires in the 35 x 11.5 size - like the Toyo Open Country AT3. Just a tad taller than the 285/75 and width is 11.5 versus the 11.2 of the 285/75.

I agree. It would allow me to get a taller tire without it being super wide.

so I'm a dope and given the new info on the badlands wheel offset wondering if the 285/75/17 tire on an aftermarket wheel is still a way to achieve a larger, but slightly thinner tire without sasquatch package and 35s. If it is, what offset would someone need to keep the tires tucked under the flares (like in the photo below - they barely stick out beyond the flares - I know this is a bad angle to demonstrate but it's true) Boy I wish i paid more attention in geometry class. thanks for all opinions

If what LEGEND is saying is going to be final factory production, that Badlands has at least on crash bar you *might* will have to deal with. The front bar looks far enough out of the way but it will be a wait and see thing.

Thanks JR, I've been following that thread and did a little outside reading on the crash bar issue - jury seems out on whether it's a good idea to alter them, but most seem to think it's a non-issue - I however have no expertise!

I have the exact same setup on my Jeep (tires and suspension).

I started with the 34/10.5r17 and later switched to the 285/75s because the former was easily a full 1" shorter than advertised. Everyone warned me they would come up short once mounted, and they were right.
