Comparing to a LR Discovery v6 (dont ask why) but that is 16 city / 21 highway / 18 mixed. Premuim.

Local gas - $3.46 premium, $2.96 regular. 17% more

Adjusting breakeven cost if regular gas = 13.7 city / 17.9. highway / 15.4 mixed. So about equally as costly for Bronco Sasquatch. I could live with that.

Are we really driving the Bronco for great MPG? I figure that number will be higher than 12, but I don't expect anything higher than 17-19. My Ranger gets about 19-20 with the 2.3L ecoboost and my Flex is around 17-18 with a 4 cylinder. I am not a crazy driver, nor do I drive extremely hard. When I drive to Mammoth Lakes, CA from my home down south, I get 20-22 on the Ranger and 20-23 in my Flex.

Nice write up. Thanks for all the information.
I think everyone here should cancel their reservation because of the 12 mpg.
Hope to see one in person before mine is delivered.

If this guy is right, looks like 15 combined could be a stretch...
No wonder he’s waiting for hybrid powertrain ;)
Hybrid is what I'm eager to see too. On the Ranger6G forum it has been all but confirmed that the new Ranger is coming in the PHEV form and given how close the two platforms are I wouldn't be surprised if Bronco followed. If you could operate in all electric around town and get about 20 on the highway a lot of people would be happy

That engine bay looks bananas...and not in a good way. Wondering what the MPG for 33's on Bad Lands will be???

Actual new green or just a different name for an existing green? New green or new name for an existing green is still new, right 🙃

Mindset:
Ford 1: "Lets just rename Jet Fighter Grey to Cactus Grey for the Bronco. That sounds like a more appropriate name for this type of vehicle and we can promote it as a new vehicle color".
Ford 2: "Great point. Lets also make flannel the required outfit for Bronco reps. That's outdoorsy and what people wear while they are overlanding and "bajaing"."
Ford 1: "Spot on Missy and Barb. Let's also market and explain the entire vehicle through Instagram and TikTok."

Jokes aside, thanks for the info and pictures. Ford has just been an easy target throughout all of this. Jealous you got to see one in person.

i can’t see it being that bad even with 35’s. Here is the F150 with both the 2.7 and 3.5.
Ford Bronco 3.20 Varsity Ford Dealer Event - Photos, Questions and First Impressions D5A9CC5E-2603-486A-B287-2F62D4CC310B
Bear in mind although the engine is the same the gearing is totally different. The 2.7 in the F150 is geared for fuel economy and doesn't have heavy 35' wheels on each corner to spin.. a Bronco with SAS is geared for off road performance. Plus the EPA fuel economy ratings are unreliable, to put it kindly!

I don't mind getting 15ish mpg on the Bronco but if Sas gets 12mpg, that is very disappointing. Also, if it is an army green they are going to use, my feelings won't be hurt that I didn't wait.
If sas gets 12 my wife is going to kill me. That's TRX bad
