Outer Banks with Badlands 33” tires and wheels photoshopped onto it.
My concern is the tire is a 33x12.5 and considerably wider. Will the wider tire interfere with the steering gear and suspension. Whole lot of wait and see till we know backspacing, offset and bore.
What they do as part of the Sasquatch package is to remove the crash bars. However I’ve several videos with 33s, they didn’t start removing the crash bars till they jumped to 35s. You’ll be good.

Guess I never thought of it that way. Was just trying to get a more beefy looking tire than the ATs that come from the factory.
I agree YTFORD. I plan to order the GENERAL GRABBER A/TX at the 275/70R18 size within a few months after when my OBX arrives. That beefy look along with being a real 33" tire should work. Got to remember to order five tires though.

Those same tires, although are 32”, are on the BD. They look great on it.

the 2 door and 4 are the same. This is with 17 285/70. No rub totally fine. I just got my leveling kit but have not installed it. With the leveling kit they sat up to 35. Have had them on for 300 miles no concerns

Check the reviews. When I put these on my Jeep what everyone said at the time was right... they were just barely 33s... I think they even measured very high 32” once I got them installed. I was very disappointed and they didn’t even stay on the Jeep for more than a month before I changed them out and took the loss.

I’m running 285/75/17s now. They aren’t Pizza Cutters, but they’re a legit 34” tire. That’s what I plan on sticking with.
Actually, considering that a 1" lift is $59.95 (call it $100 if you install it yourself) and that rims and tires are around $2000, but we'll round up a little and call it $2500 for everything. The Sasquatch package is going to roughly double the price of the 1" lift and aftermarket rims/tires ($4995 on the OBX).

Don't get me wrong, I am not staying that there is no value in the Bilsteins, but... I could add some King 2.5's at $3190 and still be very close to the price of the Sasquatch package.
Minus lockers and heavy duty axles with a high ratio . Sasquatch pack is the best way .

Hello guys.

I'm pretty much set on a 2d outer banks, no options. (I think it's the best bangxbuck here in canada)

The only problem is those stupid minivan tires. Anyone on the same situation? Is it possible to swap to more aggressive 33s without a lift?
Nope, they don't fit... ;)

Ok, they fit perfectly fine on my OBX. 17x9's +30 offset with 295/70R17 - no lift.

I just had GENERAL GRABBER A/TX 275/70/R18's install on my OBX using wheels from a '21 Ranger.
Transforms the OBX.

Looks great! Same tires I’m planning to add to my OBX when that day arrives. I Like the aggressive look without having to have an E load, and the snow rating for our winter trips. What is your opinion on the ride and road noise?

I think the ride is better than the Bridgestone Duelers and certainly no more road noise. Really though just get past 40mph or so and you won't hear anything but the wind noise. :)

Hi OBX folks.

I’m looking to upgrade to 33” tires and was considering painting/powdercoating the wheels black.

Anyone done this on an OBX?

Thanks for any direction. I tried searching the forums but couldn’t find anything.

Based on reading post after post on this subject over the past couple of months, I'm ordering 275/70r18s (either coopers or falkens) and powder coating the stock wheels. That tire size seemed to have several testimonials as a sweet spot (sans-lift) for both function and appearance. Going to wait to see how it looks before deciding on a level.
