I'm a complete newb with tires. Ever since I was scheduled, I have fallen down the rabbit hole of posts on tire choices and here is what I've ascertained so far:

  • I want A/T tires since I will be using as a daily driver with some trail running
  • The largest tires that can fit on an OBX without a lift or mods are 33's
  • I don't want E range tires because they're too heavy
  • I don't want Standard or XL tires or I'll end up with a puncture
  • I don't want larger than 275 or it won't fit on the stock rims
Assuming all of this is true then this leaves me looking for 275/70 R 18 tires.

And after searching all the different sites, the only one I can find that size in a C or D load range is the GY Wrangler Duratrac (https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...r&tireModel=Wrangler+DuraTrac&partnum=77R8WDT)

Two questions:
  1. Is all of this correct?
  2. Is there any other tires that I'm not finding?

I'm in a very similar situation. But I'm definitely looking at some E Rated Tires.

By the way, looking at the specs, that is a 54lb tire. Don't see how E Rated will be heavier.

Don't go with Wrangler Duratrecs. Great tire for first year but after that tire noise is horrendous!! I'd check if BFGs are available in that size.

E rated tires aren't always too much heavier. We put these on my wife's Bronco, Goodyear Wrangler UltraTerrain AT only 55 lbs (1 lb more than the ones you selected). Ride is very smooth and quiet, doesn't feel heavy or E-rated at all on the truck., they are locally distributed thru Discount Tire.
Good Luck with the search either way....

i had same concern with weight. Got Wildpeaks, 59 pounds. While itā€™s the only tire Iā€™ve had on the Bronco, from what I expected (coming from a Grand Cherokee), I donā€™t view the extra weight as a big issue. Ride on highway isnā€™t the same as JGC but still good.

Did you have to remove the crash bars to put them on? No rub?
it's not mine... And no he didn't... 2" lift. I've got the same set up for mine that just arrived at the dealership this afternoon. He said they had to put some spacers on it though.

Canā€™t speak to the performance since I went with a different brand. But there was something about the ā€œwranglerā€ name being on my Bronco that I didnā€™t want to entertain.

May be a nit pick for most but I just wouldnā€™t unsee it. I believe Ford even had it removed for the OEM Sas tires.

Yes Ford did that is why it says Goodyear on both angles of the tire instead of Goodyear than Wrangler.

Here it is... OuterBanks 2" rough country lift with 35 x 12.5 KO2's does need spacers. it barely rids at full lock. Taking back to get those put on. Was late yesterday when we picked it up.
