Our second FCTP Bronco is soon to arrive and of course it’s a Big Bend, 2.3L with the 3.73 gears. Has anyone mounted 35”s on theirs yet with this combo? Wondering if it will be a little to much for this Setup.

I don't know the answer to your question, but what is FTCP?

Too high gears with a 4sp auto or a 5sp manual imo. I don't see a 10sp auto lasting long.

Not on a Bronco but I have 35's and 3.73's on my Jeep and it is terrible at highway speeds. The slightest incline and it is downshifting and can never seems to just get comfortable and cruise. Don't know if the 10spd would make it better or worse. Seems like plenty here have stuffed bigger tires in lower geared models, hopefully someone will chime in with an honest review.

Edit. I should add that highway speeds for me are 80mph

4.56 and 4.88 are the common gears with 4R70W auto in early bronco swaps with 35" tires. And that's a 4sp not a 10sp lol.

We have 35s on our OBX with 3.73s. it honestly drives like it did from the factory. The transmission is not hunting for gears and it doesn't lag at all.

I see zero side effects from our experience.
I bet the trans is running hotter though.

.636:1 in 10th in a 2021 bronco trans

.700:1 in a 4R70W in 4th.

Pretty similar OD ratios to be running just 3.73 imo.

Don't do it, you will have much more heartache than love.

People have a very wide spread of what is acceptable. One person will say it sucks, another will say it's fine. The majority will say they don't like it, based on previous vehicles. This is exactly why most people regear. You can do what countless people before you have done, put them on and see how it feels, and start saving up or put the money aside to eventually regear.

I have them 2 door base no issues its fast ..if you dont plan to tow I dont see issues ..I dont drive over 70 not safe for top heavy tall vehicles and too hard on engine ..if you fit this scenario grab a set ..no regrets...maybe not on 2.3 4 door??
