I have a 2022 2 door Badlands non-Sasquatch with the 2.3 manual. I am lifting it 3.5”. I off-road on serious trails and discovered I need better ground clearance. My concern with going to 37’s is will the 2.3 manual lose too much on road performance? I understand this is a subjective question, so I’m looking for an honest opinion. Has anyone regretted 37’s with the 2.3 manual? I’m not super happy with the fuel tank size/mpg combination already. I’ve overcome that by carrying an additional 14 gallons and I’ve needed it.

Non SAS badlands, so should be 4.46 I think? I don’t think that would be an issue in this case. Not much different then the 4.7 gears.

Unless you are rolling at 80-90mph, sixth gear is probably going to be unusable. The drivetrain won’t have any issues pushing those tires around though.

RIP MPG’s

It’ll look sick though. Add photos once you get it all installed!

4.46 for auto BL, 4.7 for manual.

I'm on 3.5" of lift and running some 35s it looks a little funny and I am buying 37s in the near future.

Big difference is in weight between 37x12.5r17 and 37x13.5r17 so thats the hard choice. The extra width of 13.5 tires are a noticeable difference on the bronco.

The thing about gears is that you have to take into account the transmission ratio's as well. For example 4.7's in a manual vs 4.7's in an auto, the auto will be more forgiving of gearing. The manual has the crawl gear which will help in some situations on the trail, but might be too low for others while 1st might be too high.

I recently upgraded to 37s on my 2.7 Auto SAS (4.70 gears). My advice would be to find a 37 that's on the lighter side. I went with Nitto Trail Grapplers and they are 87 lbs each and my fuel mileage went from 16s to 13s. Wish I had 5.13s to push them a little better.

I have the cooper STT pros on mine (37x12.5/17) on stock squatch wheels w/beadlock rings installed. Mine's a 2.3/MT 2dr. I'm very happy w/on road performance compared to other lifted vehicles I have owned over the years. 6th gear is completely useless, unless doing 90+ mph...and yeah, gas mileage sux! but performance wise? No issue

I strap this guy on my Yakima Lock N Load. It saved my bacon on a Baja trip.
