Rear spacers are on. Found a battle scare from Windrock. Will have guards ordered.

So I talked to Zone lift yesterday
Front Spacer adds 1 3/8 lift, Spring Perch adds 5/8s
Rear spacer adds 1in

Reason I called them was the rear spacer was 1 1/2in thick. So as many of you know normally that adds 1 to 1 on a solid axle but they said due to the shock being at an angle it didn't.

Will post more pics today when done.

One thing I would like to point out that I didn't know and really couldn't find in a video. ((((You have to use a spring compressor to turn the top cap 180deg this is a must if you have the Sasquatch due to the reservoir on the shock. Make sure you mark before moving so you know where 180deg is))))

Spring compressor I used. Front was much harder to compress than the rear.

I am doing the lower A-Arm removal I have the Badlands so it was a little more to it then this video but not hard.

Key thing is the hydro disconnect what I did and it was easy is just undo like 4 plastic clips and unplug from the main harness on the frame. Its like 8 15mm bolts and it comes right out. ((Will post a pic of location later))

Being I wasn't adding the spring perch I used the instructions for the regular 2in leveling kit and not the Sasquatch. But I bought the Sasquatch kit incase I wanted the add the spacer or spring Perch later.

This is another video the one will explain how to add spring perch. If you're doing that.

FOLLOWING, BUT...

I am calling shenanigans on them (Zone).

I may not be the smartest cookie in the jar, but I am OK at math.

1.5 inches resulting in 1 inch of lift would mean the ratio is 1.0/1.5 = 0.67

sin-1(0.667) = 41.8 degrees from the HORIZONTAL!

This is nonsence. When the shock orientation is anywhere near vertical, the acual angle is completly negligible.
Lets say the shock is angled 15 degrees from vertical. Sin(75) = 0.97.
1.5 x 0.97 = 1.46 (you couldn't even measure 0.04"!).
Now lets say the shock is angled 25 degrees from vertical (that's a lot). Sin(65) = 0.91.
1.5 x 0.91 = 1.36 (most likely would not notice an eighth of an inch).

The only reason that the ratio is like this in the front (but reverse) where 1.0 inches results in 1.5 inches of lift, is because the shock is mounted 1/3 of the way inwards towards the pivot point (no trigonometry needed). Therefore all action on the outside is 50% greater than at the shock mount.

But, the rear the shock mounts almost directly below the axel (on a bracket). It would need to be mounted a HUGE distance behind the rear axel (half of the trailing arm length) for there to be a fractional ratio like they are proposing.

By all means measure the acual effect of the rear lift. I will be shocked (pun intended) if it is outside of a 0.95 to 1.05 ratio to the actual part thickness. However, I would be interested to know since I will be doing the same thing if I get a build.

Looks great! Tires look huge.
Love the dichotomy of the tube doors and pouring rain in your pic!

Me and the Good Lord tight so I asked him if I rode up to Ford would he make the alignment machine be free being I knew it was about to rain he said roll with it. Made it just in time no joke it stopped raining seconds after they got done. Yes, I gave him all the glory. Yes, that’s a true story.

Looking good!

Why did you leave out the perch spacer? Also, did you install the bumpstop extension?

BTW, I think the Icon 3" lift video/instructions shows that you can disconnect just one side of the sway bar and push it far enough aft to get access to the LCA bolts.

No perch spacer or bumpstop.
Reason I’m a less is better. But also the perch spring would have hurt the ride quality. I left the factory bumpstop I will add the bigger if I need too. This is a toy to me so I will see if this will work with the 38s if not I will probably add a bigger spacer but not sure I will add the perch spacer.

if you would post the video on my page for the next guy.

Few pics of how I got the A-Arm back on the main one that really matters is the 2x6 one. The second A-Arm went very fast after I had done it once.
