Agreed. I started this journey with AMB, then moved to Velocity Blue after it was verified as a Bronco color and was there for a long time, but would flirt with Rapid Red and Race Red. Finally I took a trip to the dealer to look at every Bronco color on vehicles. I left that day knowing it'd be one of 2 colors, Cactus Gray or AMB but leaning Cactus Gray. Since then, I keep coming back to AMB and the color (while dark) is something I've always wanted.Same can be said for pretty much any color, but i get your gist. Seen it a few days ago at a dealership on a mostly cloudy day, with the sun peaking thru occasionally. Stared at it for about thirty minutes walking around at every angle. It grew on me. I left feeling confident i would be comfortable ordering that color.
Well, i ordered Cactus Gray. However, i am contemplating going from Wildtrack back to BD. As well as still kicking AMB's tires.I ordered it in BD as well....best option in a weak field
Ditto - surprised me too. Flat panels seem to show it off much better.I like AMB even better on the F150 for some reason.
I have a black 2006 F150 so maybe my eyes are picking up the blue better. Like i said, i walked away comfortable with it. I am seeing some nice blue in the angled tailgate shot.Very representative of what I saw on the lot. Thanks for sharing those pics. I was looking at an Escape (I think). I like AMB even better on the F150 for some reason.
I wasn't considering that, but I agree. Yeah, I was thinking height of vehicle and where our eyes are focused on the panel too. If you're looking down (Escape, for me), that changes the angle of your viewpoint (cloudy or sunny day) in relation to the sun too.Ditto - surprised me too. Sadly I want the orange, I don't want an homage to ford blue in my CO BD lol. Yeah you can swap them, but I'm hoping that all those small spots are screws and you can dismantle the grab handle to either remove/replace/recolor the accent there. Not a fan either, but at least you can look at it as an homage to “Ford Blue”. At least it’s not yellow. Besides, will you be able to swap these?
Hoo boy, that looks atrocious.Close up Outer Banks dash.
At least there will be an option to remove them. The interior and blue accents are actually things that drew me to the BD instead of the BL. It also completely depends on the exterior color that you go with as well. Can't wait to see what people do to personalize their rigs.Sadly I want the orange, I don't want an homage to ford blue in my CO BD lol. The tank was at 1/4 with 103 miles estimated to go before E. The video they posted today with the FE was at 1/4 tank with 99 miles estimated to E. I think we can reliably say 400 miles per tank (4 door, 2.7 for both videos) = roughly 20 mpg combined. The eco estimators change constantly and are not reliable.Really want an electric / hybrid. Sub 15 mpg would be enough for me to not buy.
