Ha! Excellent point. Even if my son doesn't purposely throw things around, he tends to get a case of the dropsies in the car. One slip of his Nintendo switch and I'll be investing in kleenex to compensate for the endless tears and snotty nose. I'll have to find a way to tie everything down if he absolutely must have it in the car!

IMHO it’ll be a little tougher to work with the car seats than the much maligned minivan (sorry haters, minivans are great when you have little ones and cheaper than “cooler“ cars)

That being said I can’t see the problem. Plenty of room, I believe these will be pretty safe. If you go MGV it’ll be easy to clean

IMHO it’ll be a GREAT family truckster, especially in the 4dr

I have a 2002 Mazda Miata I commute in and take my 4 year old to daycare in every day. I long ago decided I don't care what others think about my choices.

Coworker had two kids and a four door Jeep. Twins! Bye bye Jeep. Family planning is important.

Our kids and now our grandkids love climbing into our Broncos. It’s the best way to safely take them everywhere

I guess it depends on what YOUR definition is of family car. Personally, it seems perfect for a family of four. But, I no longer have young children that need strollers, travel bassinet, etc.

my 04 Tacoma 4 door is our family mover, no problems and the Bronco is similar in the back, maybe even a bit roomier. Trunk doesn't compare to truck bed, but easy fits 4 carry on size bags and unless you buy some bulky super expensive strollers it'll do just fine. Add a cargo net in back so things don't come flying forward and you can fill it to the roof.

I bought my used 2-door CJ-7 from a couple who were selling because the wife got pregnant. In their mind at least, the CJ-7 was not acceptable if having a child. I recall the wife started crying as we were filling out the paperwork, and had to leave the room. The guy told me she was emotional about having to give up the Jeep and the fun memories tied up with it.

Fast forward, I got married and had a kid, but did not give up the Jeep. My wife and I never even considered giving it up. That rule the other couple had followed, and probably thought was solid and legit, well it really wasn't. And so we went on to have lots of fun times with our son (and later a second son) in that Jeep.

It'll make a good family car until one of you kids reaches about 6 feet tall.

I was surprised at how much room there s in back. I'm 6'and it was decent. Would I want to ride 500 miles? Maybe not.
