Owned a soft top on my old Wrangler. It was horrible at any speed over 35 mph. On the highway it was like sitting inside a tent in a hurricane.
I am probably going dual tops. The decision is what color hard top - Dark Gray, Body Color, or Black. Leaning black.

I am a former wrangler owner too, and topless is fun provided you don't have to get out on a highway. Have plenty of ballcaps and scrunchies on hand.

There will probably be many variants of aftermarket soft tops for the 2021, but Hard Tops might be best OEM.

Never owned a Jeep. For warm weather which are you going with? Will it be worth spring for the hard top? Help me decide... I saw the test vehicle soft top and it looked jacked up. I’m sure the actual ones will look better. I also hope they are rented dark in the back they seem to be from pics . Hope they match the 5% all around.

All the Jeep forums seem to point to soft top, especially the Jeep premium soft top. Wondering which Jeep top the Bronco will be more like

I’m not concerned with security aspect, I plan on getting a lockable underseat box.
JKU hard top in winter, bikini top from Mid-April to September (New England...)
Doors off July-August and Dirty Dog shades!

Soft top for sure. I expect the top to be similar in terms of noise/flapping to the Wrangler JLU top - which is really good. I live in San Diego so will be open quite a bit. Soft top is too much fun to pass on.

Hard top for sure.

Kind of wish the hard top came standard with the 4 door.
I feel the same. I would rather spend money (less) on my choice of soft top than to spend (more) for a hardtop later on. I wouldn't even think it was choice if that were the case!

Hard top all the way. Zero interest in having a tent for a roof.
Plus, what I remember from my JK experience is once its hot and humid, driving around with top and doors off feels like driving with someone aiming a giant heat gun at you. Pass.

Maybe there isn't a color choice for dual after all:

Which trims come with hard tops? Which come with soft tops ? Which don’t have any removable roof ?
From memory, I wanna say for 4dr, only the 2 top trims include a hard top

It's hard to answer on what you would like on your personal Bronco. For example check out any Corvette forum on the subject. It gets crazy with opinions. Rag tops today are much better quality than those in the past. So leaks are a rare occurance. And there is a lot to be said about that perfect day, top off, and your bestie by your side. My wife drives a Mustang convertible so we went hard top on my Jeep. Which ever you decide you can always find the other for sale by an owner that bought a Bronco with both tops, decided they like one better, and put the other up for sale on the forum. That's what happens on the Jeep forum I frequent. Good luck on your decision.

Canadian weather = Hard Top.

8 months out of the year is snow, cold and ice. 2 months it's blistering heat. 2 months it's cold and rain or snow or ice pellets or some other BS.

and you just check my math on the amount of months in a year.
if you didn't, you just did now.

Thanks. What I don’t get it if they 4 door comes with a hardtop already what am I choosing ? Are there two types of hard tops ? Or is one modular and one isn’t?

Soft top is stock on most 4-doors. There are three hard top options (so far):

1) Molded-in-color carbonized gray
2) Modular black painted
3) Modular body color painted
