So what does a "painted wheel" in the B&P mean? can rocks and pebbles chip away at it?

Most wheels these days, OEM or otherwise, tend to be painted and clearcoated.

Finish durability is only as good as the process that was used, and can vary a lot. But the painted finish on most OEM wheels tends to be really strong.

As an example- I switch between my OEM Subaru wheels and a set of Sparco Terras for winter. With 50,000 miles shared between the two of them, the Sparcos are noticeable chipped up, while the OEM wheels still look perfect.

Hate loud colors for vehicles. Also don’t understand why the beauty ring isn’t black on all models, it would make much more sense, however, I’m just going to paint over mine if I don’t go the wildtrak route.

Agreed on the black beauty ring. This may be a dumb question, but is it easy to DIY paint them? Or would you have to take it to a body shop?

I think they’re easily removable but I could be wrong

Oh, that's interesting. I'm guessing that's a glitch. The 33 wheels looked a a faux ring but I'm no offroading expert.
