My understanding is that BN is the product of an independent marketing firm that Ford has hired to perform their marketing magic.

So like, they aren’t owned or operated by Ford... but they work for Ford and their job is to drum up excitement and creat social media jazz... and Ford will provide them access to information towards this end.
